AHMEDABAD: Danseuse Mallika Sarabhai on Monday invited BJP's prime ministerial candidate L K Advani for an open debate posing five questions to him even as CPI(ML) pledged support to her candidature from Gandhinagar constituency.
"I invite him (L K Advani) for an open debate," Sarabhai, who is contesting as an Independent candidate against BJP leader and four time MP from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat, said.
"I would like to pose five question to him today as he has been our (Gandhinagar) MP for the last 20 years," she said.
"My first question is how many and what kind of questions have you raised in the Lok Sabha about Gandhinagar in the last five years," Mallika asked Advani.
She wanted to know what efforts were made by him towards opportunities for education and livelihood generation in the rural areas of Gandhinagar constituency.
She asked why he had not spoken out against violence and atrocities against women in Gujarat and specifically in Gandhinagar.
She demanded to know that despite being MP for this constituency, why had Advani not shown any concern towards local issues of the constituency as well as the state.
Raising question about MPLADs scheme she asked "have you used your funds under MPLADs scheme to benefit the deprived and underprivileged in your constituency?"

Chintan, For your information, Mallika Sarabhai is the daughter of Vikram Sarabhai, the pioneer space scientist and the Guru of Mr Abdul Kalam. Mr Kalam visited their house when he was the president, to pay respect. There is much more respectable in the biodata of Mallika but the space here would not be enough. If you call yourself educated and intellectual, you have no right to run down Mallika.

Please note as under and for ur future reference -
Majority of defence equipment companies in the west are privately owned unlike India where ownership is with government. These pvt. companies do not deal directly with sovereign govts.. They engage middlemen for procuring contracts who are paid commission on the sales made. This is an accepted fact in the west. For your information no defence deal is done without middlemen. Quattrochi was a middlemen like Adnan Khashoggi . They get commission on deals. That is why every time there is a defence deal u get scandals in India like Bofors, Barak, Coffingate etc. (whether it is Cong or BJP). Middlemen are there in every business. A farmer doesnt diretly sells his wheat to govt. He sells it to Aadrtiyas who then sell in market.

Update your knowledge. Mallika Sarabhai runs one of the biggest cooperatives for milk production (for women) in Gandhinagar district. She herself owns cattle.
She runs 5 Self Help Groups (sponsored by nationalised banks) for women.
She is an MBA from the best business school in India - IIM, Ahmedabad. And an M Phil in Management.
She is the daughter of India's best scientist - Dr. Vikram Sarabhai (father of Atom Bomb). And she is an international dancer of repute (not a filmi dancer). Please dont ridicule people without knowledge

MPLADs scheme money was used to shine SG Highway with a series of sodium lights, for the benefit of the filthy rich who visit the road where malls, multiplexes, hotels, imported furniture showrooms and luxury car sales depots exist.

I think any BJP leader of her stature. It is like asking the presidents of the G7 to come for a debate with lallu and Maya. Her father's stature has no relevance and even he had no relevance in politics and social issues. There are hundred of IIM MBAs every year. There is nothing so great in her biodata as is being mentioned here to draw some sort of parity with Advani.
Mr. Jairam Ramesh, One Italian (Mr.Q......) ran away with Rs. 21 crores of our tax-payer's money and another Italian asked the CBI to look the other way when the case for de-freezing of his Bank A/c was being heard in a Court of Law in England. Have you heard about this incident???

O.K .The Congress didn't do a thing earier but atleast Jairam may for the people of this country publish his estimates and the action taken since the matter was taken up a couple of years back. Mere sparring will only make the people think Congress leadership has a lot to hide. Come out with a white paper before the elections and win the confidence of the people who are impatiently waiting to shout JAI HO SONIA.
