Looking at the value of the house Sonia owns, plus the agricultural land in her name it appears that the value provided is cost price. That is the price paid for these assets say 20 - 30 yrs ago or more. What is really important is the market value today..

hehe...so true... and along with all this she has the capacity to evade taxes for billions of dollars stored in foreign accounts...her kids get free mei foreign education(which they dont persue anyways)....she travels on private airplanes....her son carries unexplained wealth and gets detained on foreign airports....Gosh poor she is!

daughter buys land near governor's bungalow in Himachal Pradesh bending State laws, and still mommy and brother have no house or car..
daughter,her husband and servants go to Chin a,Nepal,Bhutasn etc as part of govt delegation.. why need money when govt (even BJP govt) is ready to provide everything for just one family..
Are we supporting any other (like original Gandhi's ) family by our tax money?

The point is the journalist is not providing the facts. When a single family uses g tax payer and government money and portray themselves as simple people - it is pretentious. The journalist has to be honest and give the amount of money it is costing the Indian public for the 'Darbar' that this Nehru/Gandhi family is enacting year after year for the past 60 years. It is not just Sonia, they are providing tax funded protection to Rahul and Priyanka as well as her family. How much more burden should the poor Indians take on behalf of this family.
