At the time of our Independence, Defence expenditure was listed as 7th important in our finance books. After the Congress led UPA took over in 2004, Defence is the 200th important in our finance books. Pls. check all this and then start to yap...

Guest....Congress should have never come out with a manifesto in the first place, they should have come out with a REPORT CARD. But, I know what can they put in their report card? As a matter of fact if the BJP's manifesto works directly against the one of Congress, it is very good, let the people decide what is good for them.

Don Kernash... Not just it, the youth from villages is increasingly motivated to join the US army, in Punjab this has become an industry. It is a an insult on the Indian nation, that youth from our country will join the US army, just because our government does not want to pay the armed forces well.

there is really good news for army in BJP manifesto.Apart from tax free salary,one rank one pension principle,bjp manifesto promises to expedite a separate pay commission for armed forces,10 fold hike in monthly honorariums for gallantry award winners and honourable settlement for retired army personnel. Tragically none of other party manifesto cares about army personnel. i m really proud of ur BJP . i m really happy. our army men morale is down.but due to bjp policy it will be up. hats off to you.

do u know during this tenure of congress first time army men showed unhappiness. shame on upa.they gave good commission to babus rather than army people. but later on when army showed unhappiness they have to do it. its really shame.

Antony...made false promises and did nothing else for them. Congress has treated the armed forces as dirt. What happened to Antony when funeral services for the only Field Marshal of Independent Sam Maneckshaw was held, why wasnt he present? Dis grace is the word for the Congress when armed forces are discussed.

BTW, -L K Advani and Rajnath Singh attended the funeral service. -Karunanidhi declared a holiday in honor of the brave soldier. But, Alas...the congress dint find it fit to be present. You and your types are equally responsible for this state of affairs.

South Indian... The entire country watched it and I am not the only one, the ONLY FIELD MARSHAL OF INDEPENDENT INDIA, and none I repeat none from the Cabinet was present. This itself speaks for the respect they have for the armed forces.

Jiggs if you served in the army as you say so then no wonder we have a national shame in the name of Purohit or are you Purohit himself who wanted to divide our country into smaller countries. Your Bharat Jalao Party still supports a national shame like Purohit, Pragya, Sadhvi & the latest entrant Varun. Maybe that is the reason why the PM in waiting has been the leader that killed more than 4000 innocent Indians in all the riots sponsored by the Bharat Jalao Party from the time of the demolition of a place of worship till date.
