I hate CPM policies but I voted for them this time
by Sonu on May 12, 2006 04:19 PM

Because opposition is stupid at best and nightmare at worst. Other factor was Buddhadeb Bhattacharya's honest effort for developing Bengal. Yechury know that very well but he is highjacking the credit to a different road. If we had good opposition and a person like Buddha Deb in opposition situation would have been reverse. Moving ahead I hope CPM takes Buddha Deb's words as final word in future policy making and Mamata get retired so that any other person can take over her role of main opposition. Someone should put an advertisement in job listing .... OPPOSITION WANTED.

since last 50 years we are seeing the growth of the different state under different government,, and there is no surprise to me when bengal and kerala elected left the poorest party in terms of the developing the state.. India is democratic country and few pockets like east india and south india are still under the impression that they will grow more under this party who have only ruined India by either supporting china for tibet issue or some otherway ...this all is not for homecountry but to make happy their godfather who are sitting in the country like china who is enemy of the India and all Indian.........

so please Utho jago and see the problems our country.......

Crystal Balling Kerala's Future
by vinay on May 11, 2006 11:00 PM

A sad day for kerala. This is what is going to happen in the next assembly elections in kerala. UDF is coming to power taking over a Bankrupt State with a poor Law & Order situation. This LDF rule will be marked by deterioration of economy, Law & order..If there is anything to cheer about, that would for school children who would get lot of Hoildays due to Bandh & Hartals... God Help God's Own Country

Do not try to full the nation Mr .Yechury
by abhisek mishra on May 11, 2006 06:08 PM

In India the infrastruture, technology, heavy industry, next generation technology developement is at crossroads .If we want to be developed than we have to develope people and these factor simultaneously .This is possible if and only if you treat all the people equally .But these Marxcist parties call them marxist and yet support quota system. For developement we need system free of religion i.e quota, free education and ZERO corruption .Without these 3 India can never be a developed nation .It will only remain as a fractured country .

PM or CPI-M, Who is to rethink?
by Sanjay Bhat on May 11, 2006 05:48 PM

We feel sad for the people of WB that despite two decades of political stability they are far behind in development than other states in India. The former capital of India (Calcutta) stands no where in Development race as compared to other metros & Cosmos. They should note that Dev generates employment and strikes & locouts, their mantra of existance, keeps the same away. CPI-M should rethink what is good for the poor people of WB

Why CPM continues to win in WB
by krisna on May 11, 2006 05:36 PM

It is not policy; it is not principle; it is not ideology of conviction. It is manipulative politics.
Captive vote bank; and muscle and force. If it is good governance why then it is one of the least economically progessive states where even today we see riksha pullers et all. If there is some semblance of economic activity gearing up it is purely due to the bold and progressive decisions of the incumbant Chief Minister and the winning this time is wholly his contribution.

Why not left win other states in country
by vinniesn on May 11, 2006 05:13 PM

If left winning West bengal for about 3 decade, it doesn't mean it is the best party in India. If so why are they not accepted in other state. That tell their limitation, weakness of oppostion party and conservative mind of west bengal people. I am not surprise, when people from WB expect ganguly to be in India team and captain despite his failure.
