It has to be men without application who voted to power these followers of an obsolete ideology!

Victory of left front
by fatmi on May 11, 2006 04:47 PM

Congratulation comrades for doing so well and making us smile. It is not a victory of left parties but the principled stand that left parties have always taken on all major issues that concerns the society.

BJP haslost credibility all over India as they are not only confused lot but are extremely incosistant in their approach and strongly believe in the miracle of slogans.

Mamta Banerjee as a politician is simple, honest and acceptable to large middle class families but her mood swing , impulsive nature and her association with BJP is a big worry for all and this may be one reason why her support & cadre base has slipped.

Congress is no more a force in Bengal. They are now like Mohamdan Sporting club whivh is no ore a match of Mohan Bagan or East Bengal. They are only concerned with the margin of defeat

CPM - WB
by Partha on May 11, 2006 04:41 PM

Its not PM, CPM has to start thinking why aren't able to win in any other state apart from West Bengal, Kerala and Tripura...

Is problem with them or rest of the country...

It's unfortunate that a party supported by 3 state people want to control the country direction of 100 crore people.

Left Front win in WB
by rajesh on May 11, 2006 04:03 PM

Sitaram Yechury's comments that the PM should think why we are winning should be viewed from a different angle - The PM is the PM of India not of WB. The left front has won a record seventh time in WB - they have another record - they have not been able to do so in any other state! Sitaram Yechury and his comrades should think about it! If the mediocre growth in WB with so called rural enrichment as projected by them is so real - why are they not able to project the same to the rest of India? Or is the growth the Left is talking about not right and real?

Chest thumping
by arun on May 11, 2006 03:53 PM

It's been an old practice for the Indian politicians to come out chest thumping and rubbish the opposition, and associated themselves with the masses after every win. If the people of the country are so much served by the left parties then why not they win in other parts of India except WB & kerala. Today even after 30 years of rule by single party in WB, on the development index it ranks amongst the poorest of states in India. We all know that India votes according to the religion & castes, and people vote for the person of their religion and castes. otherwise there is no achievement in the last 30 years for which the people should vote for the left parties.
