anti-development ??
by Laal on May 01, 2006 08:44 PM

Befitting reply.. Communism is good as long as it stays within its limits.. Who is responsible for all the goonda politics in Kannur? I dont care if they are believe in God or not; my guess is none of them are!

Get the state into some shpe rather than talking abt shoving everything in the name of 'westernization'! If Kerala has progressed by any length its purely becoz of the hardworking Keralites residing outside Kerala !!!

who is the real virus
by Sudhakar on May 01, 2006 03:02 PM

Yes we are Malayalis and we love our country India and our state Kerala, but not in your way of thinking. Are you not living in this world, where are you actually originated from? Al people in kerala are living happily because of the prevailing conditions of religious harmony and cooperation and it is still continuing because of the existence of communism. My opinion is that you are a religious fundamentalist and a prejudiced person. Your concern about development, what kind of development you are talking, and development means only in IT field? You had stated name of many states, take a simple example of AP where the main promoter of IT was former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, what happened to him after the previous election?, why did the people of AP have rejected his reforms of IT development? It is a baseless statement that communist are against Christians, on the contrary more Christians want to live in kerala.Communists are not virus, you are the main virus and you are trying to spoil the present religious harmony in Kerala. So, people of kerala must be very cautious about person like Juan Rosario.

Who is the real Virus?
by Ambily on May 01, 2006 02:28 PM

Iam also surprised by the comments of Mr.Juan Rosario . You want to reintroduce social evils like 'Padiyadachu Pindam Veykkal' or 'Brashtu Kalpikkal' to make Kerala ,a more developed state ? Please try to get better knowledge on the social system that prevailed in Kerala decades before (caste system , tenant system, social condition of Avarnas and untouchable people etc. and how communism helped those people to get out of their bad condition to the social mainstreame) before making such comments.

TN Politics
by K.Anand on May 01, 2006 12:03 PM

Before i start my comments, Let me tell readers I am not a supporter of any party however seeing the trends I wish to bring forth the following views which I consider

1) Mr.Karunanidhi with his age & exprience should decently retire from politics and make way to the new generation. however he is more inclined to bring forth his son and grand son to power. It is an irony that he is been compared with late Anna durai, who led a very simple life. True to the testimony after that great man's death his wife did not had a house. This man MK who had taken pride by saying that he was a follower of Anna had never cared for his family.

2) There are many stalwarts in dmk who had given their life for the party however mk has never given them importance further he had insulted them by bringing dayanidhi maran ( a new face) to be a cabinet minister. What qualification & experience is this man having? How can v forget the drama that mr.mk created after 2004 parliment election to get that information & broadcasting minister post for his grand son. Finally he succeeded. Now their family members are enjoying the elevation. If u see the other mps post, take example tr baalu (highways & forest enviornment)!! what a pity.

Finally, if u allow these people to rule the state then v will be under their clucthes simply becos they r enjoying the post of ministers in the centre and now in the state nobody will dare to question them . TN will become their kingdom. Then any business will come under the control of mr.mk, dayanithi maran and thier family.

So TN People Beware!

WHO IS SASIKALA
by Mylai S Prabhakar on May 01, 2006 10:56 AM

Dear Sir,

What a waste of time digging dirt asking "Who is Sasikala? " as if no body knows, why bother.
This is also taking a dig at the I.T and other departments who allowed many No Body to become "Some buddies".

In Indian political scene if you keep asking these same questions to each politician there is no end to it. So instead of asking politician to declare their assets while putting in the nomination papers, they should ask what was their assest 10 years back, 20 years back and the present assests. These will help
us to know about these 'rags to riches' success stories.

What we should be asking is Whom should we vote, for what reason, what was the performance the last time whislt in power, what way their rule affected the common man on the street. If there is no favourable answer for both the parties then use the third option
I donot wish to vote. End of story.

who is sasikala
by essendas on May 01, 2006 07:53 AM

i think the present kind of campaigning shd b stopped by the election commissioner. the parties involved shd only highlight what they did in the past for the people in general and what they propose to do if elected to power. instead of that, v find insinuations of sorts by both sides sometimes leading to insults and more often verbal war that may trigger violence and law and order problem. if this trend is encouraged, the same thing will continue in assembly too without anything tangible moving. the ongoing election campaign in tamil nadu is obnoxious to the literate masses in the country as a whole and tamil nadu in particular.v must consider the impact of all this on our youth who will emulate a similar approach.
