shame for democracy.......
by pratyush on Mar 08, 2005 04:59 AM

we are proud to be worlds biggest democracy and this article shows how broad minded and disciplined politician we have. Goa episode followed by Jharkhand is lesson for those who have hope of a fair governance in India. we have politician who don't have any ideology and prinicipal with themselve. I think neither UPA nor NDA are wrong but this is the fault of independent MLAs who has created this situation. They should come out to public and they should tell with whom they want to go instead of public came to know from Arjun Munda or Stephen Marandi. Supporting to party should not be come from the thinking that whomsoever offer offer me ministry i will go with him.if this is the crietaria then this is not fair for democracy and also for Republic of India.

''some help from the media''
by manoj kumar on Mar 08, 2005 04:54 AM

In this filthy game of power everybody is exposed except you media people. We still don't know who was there behind the media reports.

You have adopted two standard for judging Congress and NDA .You have judged Congress on moral ground and rightly show. But when it comes to BJP you judge them on the basis of their smartness.

This is real smart journalism. You media people are smarter than both BJP and Congress.

Some truths are stranger than fiction. And the innocents among us will be surprised at the turn of events. But these things happen. One thing the report can do is to make the public aware of the lengths greed takes politicians to. We need to be mature as an electorate and should have enough knowledge of how things go on in the political world. That will make us better voters.

general horse trading not congress alone
by vinesh on Mar 08, 2005 02:31 AM

Your article is eluminating by the way Indian democracy works. But the heading was quite misleading. I think its not only the Congress or JMM which is involoved in horse trading but also the BJP. How can you explain the disappearence of Har Narayan. As you have reported that there were police in his room, and you suggested also that he might have been taken away forcefully at the behest of outgoing chief minister (BJP guy).Again BJP's drama enacting of escape of the MLA's are also not true democracy.. How can BJP deny that they didnt enter into any horse trading when they keep all their focks together in Rajasthan, fearing that they will be hijacked. Now if these members were so loyal to them .. they would need not have been taken to Rajasthan.
I think BJP also cannot absolve itself of any horse trading.

Cong Game in Jharkhand
by saviomoraes on Mar 08, 2005 01:56 AM  | Hide replies

If the BJP has to struggle so much to keep the independents with them. What guarantee is there that they won't leave them for a better deal???

Passing judgement on the congress may be your way off looking at things. But the BJP does not come out of this mess smelling of roses.

Your insider is an unbiased reporter or a stooge of the BJP is difficult to understand. An unbiased reporter will not used adjectives like 'shameless' for the congress president.

One sided issue
by Ram on Mar 08, 2005 12:42 AM  | Hide replies

Hi,
Here the issue should be reflected on both sides when you say horse trading. Is it not true that Enos Ekka was trying for ministership. You may be right in saying that Governer's office was misused, but when you say that only congress was involved in Horse Trading that is a total false allegation as BJP is also involved in Horse Trading. So when you write articles of this nature write the complete view. Why don't you also write the inside look of BJP's horse trading then we can believe in your sincere efforts of journalism.

Are you not tired of reading bad things about BJP? You do seem to have a great appetite for negative things.
