1.Making a team with JD(S) only for the sake of power in Karnataka against whom election was fought 2.Making an alliance with DMK ...etc in Tamil Nadu who were once upon a time termed by congress as anti-Indians. 3.Famous Ajit Jogi's futile manipulation game in Raipur 4.Flying Sonia to Bellary cladestinely to contest in election. 5.Infamous JMM scam by gentleman Veerappa Moily 6.GOA SCAM - biggest entertainment to taxpayers and honest citizen 7.Mirch Masala in Jarkhand and luckily Ranchi is quiet for time being - may be because of misfire.
It's been a long time, i had read a fiction thriller. But this episode reminded me of just one of that. It seems our politicians other than GOOD GOVERNANCE are capable of doing anything else and that too with panache.
Congress is becoming overambitious than their capacity and influence. They believe central government is formed on threir own strength which is absolutely wrong. India lacks visionary leadership irrespective of party. And is suffering for decades due to lack of true leaders. Our fate is that we elect mostly power hungry politicians. It's great shame to India that a man of Dr. Manmohan Singh's stature could not reign in the nonsense of his manipulating partymen.
Reading your article was great thrilling stuff. With such intelligence and acumen in outmanouering each other, our political parties should use their skills, to nab organised crime and tax evaders. But I suspect the reason they do not do this is that they do not want a solution to the problems of crime as perhaps they are a part of the problem and therefore cannot be the solution.
You've brought to the reader's the dirty games congress is playing. What about the ones played by NDA? Do you mean to say they are clean? I would say they played more dirtier games than Cong. Cong tried to horsetrading and so did NDA. Who won? NDA. Why? Obviously they offered more!! Isn't it simple to understand??

But this is this side of the coin. Why can't you just see it this way? As it is, if the BJP does something wrong or even something that remotely appears to be wrong, you won't have to visit rediff to read about it. It will be all over the place along with some irrelevant key words - fundamentalists, tehelka, babri masjid, and the list goes on.
The heading of the story did suggest that Congress was doing the horse trading, while the content of the story describes how BJP led pack hijacked the independents and their family to safer locations.It describes the operation being monitored from New Delhi by senior BJP leaders and the false information to Ranci ATC to land the plane meant for ferrying the independants.
So the heading of the story should have been different.If you are not that much inclined to call the move by BJP as horse trading then you may want to keep the heading as "Machinations by BJP".
