Change the system

Its again and again.
What is wrong with present system democratic system in India. Because the present system is meant for voter/people who are matured and literate for the democracy.
I think Presidential type system is workable solution and NO for future deadlock/hung/horsetrading disaster.
Let the people choose for the prime post and his/her collegues are chosen representative basis. After all atleast poor India can get rid off these ministerial waste and shame.
Once the election is over no more hope for the defeated for the next five years. Unless some extremely unavoidable happend. I think the current US model without the electrol collegue can be a good model.
I am telling your the current Indian model only can be rotten and rotten in the future. The whole world will start to laugh when they hear about Indian democracy.
And about todays Bihar situation. People spoken for the NDA. Why on earth the governor feel shy to take decision.
Anything can happen. Such is Indian democracy. Look at GOA.

I think for the shake of Bihar's Development Paswanji should join with BJP and force Laluji to retire. If this doesn't works out Prsidents Rule is the right Choice.

Let us give some respit to the people of Bihar.Let President Rule be imposed with really good advisors to the Bihar Governor to ensure good administration and caring for people problems. Real freedom should come back to the people of Bihar to exercise their choice in future without fear of Lalu or his gang.

How unfortunate is Bihar?

I'm kinda hoping against hopes that Paswan maintains his rhetoric of President's Rule in Bihar. And that the governor, with a nod from the President and Sonia does find it fit to declare the President's Rule. Let a strong governor-cum-admnsitrator really clean up the Bihar stable for once and for all. The Union Finance Minister has just declared a Rs, 7,500 cr package for Bihar. A good governor can truly monitor the effective utilisation of this package and bring Bihar back to its rails, so to speak, in relative terms. Durinb the President's Rule tenure, let BJP, Congress, RJD and LJP create their bases. The public sympathy might well go towards Paswan or Nitish as Laloo might have outlived his populism. I get a feeling that the people of Bihar will indeed welcome a developmental change as the differences from other states are getting increasingly stark and obvious. This is one Godsend opportunity - as the first poster so passionately reacted - for Bihar to spruce up its act and introduce a semblance of discipline and development that defies the casteism rhetorics of the politicians. Being a hard-core, blue-blooded Bihari, I keep my fingers crossed...

Equations in Bihar
by Mintu on Feb 28, 2005 10:44 AM

It is very clear at this point of time that:
1. Rabridevi wont continue as C.M.as Ramvilas will not support RJD with offer of Railway minister as her has grown up in this election.
2.NDA wont claim for Nitish or anybody as C.M. as independent wont offer full support.
Options available:
1).Some body from LJP(probably brother of Ramvilas)being C.M.and NDA offering support, which as last option Lalu Prasad may agree.
2)President rule for few months and then Breakup in RJD or NDA helping other to form governemt.
3)Ramvilas mite agree under pressure of Congress to Support from outsidesome senior RJD leader like Ramai Ram or Ranghuvansh Prasas as CM.

Government at Bihar

When will our so-called senior politicians, and political analysts realise that no matter what the partyleaders'personal feelings, it is the country and the people that have to come first.
Mr Paswan cannot continue to behave like a spoilt child.
If his intention was to give 'mukti'to the people of Bihar from RJD non-governance, he has to help in the state getting good governance. He has to forget his personal animosity to Mr Laloo Yadav, and help form a secular Government in Bihar, not of course forgetting that Mr Laloo Yadav is still the only real mass-based leader in Bihar.
And of course, Madam Rabri Devi has to go. Please go back to her kitchen and children.
