Muslims still can't trust BJP - Why not?
by Sameera on Mar 04, 2004 12:35 PM

A overnment's job is to do maximum good for maximum number of people. If Muslims take the attitude that only Muslim-specific policies are in their favour and that no other policy can do good for them, they need to wake up.

In a democracy, anyway, religion should have no hand to power. If Congress and other political parties keep aiming at BJP as Hindu party, they are pushing BJP in arms of Hindus and power itself as Hindu vote is in majority.

The good of majority should be thought about by all political parties. If BJP does so, what is wrong? It is about time some party did so. Other parties never thought any good for Hindus and neglected them all of last 50 years. Nobody is asking an opinion from Hindus about this. Why?

Well i truly believe that BJP cannot be trusted, muslims as well as other religion ppls should not forget the past wat they have done. Media do played important role 2 project vajpayee as successful prime minister,Muslim who joint BJP r hypocrates. They havent suffered yet nor seen wat has happened 2 muslims in past 10 years. Yeah its right that even congress havent done anything 4 minorities but atleast they havent done this kind of shameful acts in past 50 yrs. Its all due to muslims not coming under one banner let us come 2gether and form a single clear party which will do something 4 minorities no matter be it christain or some other religion. young muslim generation are educated now a days but still this govement will not allow muslims to come under on leadership. BJP is double standard party they banned SIMI why cant they banned RSS, Bajran dal they cant.BJP talk abt development but nothing been developed yet apart from IT section in india but wat BJP did for this its all we IT profesional who worked hard. BJP was opposed to this in past now they take the credit. Indo-Pak Relations this is till elections once election gets over this relations will get over and same as b4.

Muslim can't trust BJP
by Sundar on Mar 04, 2004 10:38 AM

That's right! Not only Muslims, all Indians who value National integrity cannot trust BJP. What they say and do during the election time, is just to get back to power, and that too with absolute majority. Once they get it, they will kick off the clowns who form NDA and start implementing their Hindutva agenda. Remember what Vajpayee said a year ago before American Indians 'Give us two thrird majority and we will build the temple'? Now after dissolving Parliament, he said, 'Give us the majority and we will create a new India'. Uma Barathi talked of roads before elections and now busy banning fish and chicken eating in MP. All they want is power to implement their divisive agenda. Beware Muslims, beware minorities and above all beware right thinking Hindus! They are politicians not religious saviours.

An advice to muslims
by vinod on Mar 04, 2004 10:13 AM

Political parties, in a democracy are supposed to be democratic organizations. BJP scores rather well on this count in comparison with other major parties, which are obvious pocket organizations of powerful, manipulative individuals.

Muslims led by their leaders in India could do better for the collective welfare of themselves and the nation by joining BJP and influencing its programs and policies. The poverty, illetracy and other poor condition of Muslims are largely due to the miss-rule of so called secular parties in last 50 years prior to BJP rule at centre.

Muslims can't trust BJP .What's news there?
by Vijay Thamizhagan on Mar 04, 2004 10:09 AM

Curious report. While lot of muslims have been quizzed ,all of them seem to agree on one thing that BJP is not good (for muslims ofcourse) and Gujrat is a problem none of them even utters a word about Godhra. Also everyone is aware of post-godhra ,yet some are shown as politically unaware!muslims also seem to forget the effect of Godhra on Hindu minds.

The author also in his haste quickly labels Hindus who participated in Ayodhya mandir movement as zealots forgetting it was a broad movement of people from all walks of life, just like the muslims from all walk of lives he is trying to portray.

Though rediff is known for its professionalism ,by and larger,it lets the bias of certain journalist sneak in.Lopsided representation by them only tarnishes rediffs' otherwise fair image amongst its readers. You should rope in better ones in the future.
