Sir

People like the Nawab of Arcot are what we in India need more and more of.
Thanks for a very balanced and matter-of-fact article.
May his tribe increase. As he says we should be better - hindus, muslims and christians in India.

Kishlay Sharma(China)
An ideal Indian,a refined Muslim
by Kishlay Sharma(China) on Apr 21, 2004 03:36 PM

Must congratualte Prince of Arcot,on his thoughts and the level of refinement .Should say that India needs more and more of such muslims and even Hindus.
Even people from so called SC/ST,must belive in what he said, that is rather than looking for a reserved berth they must try and make themselves competitive enough for the race.
Pls. convey my suggestions to Prince of Arcot, that he must join politics,as he has a stature, money and thus some say in the society.
What India needs at the ,moment is true and honest politicians.Either a true honest person can not become politician in persent circumstances or vice versa.
People who have good thoughts and yet have an influence in society must come forward to purify the Indian political scene.

Of course we are not in minority we are in majority but those who r in real minority just 2% of indian population they divide us & playing with us, making us fool, they have got nice apportunities on that basis playing with us once we got the same they cant do except fear, cry & apology.
That day will come early we can see by our naked eyes.

comment on prince of Arcot's interview
by jayasree sarnathan on Apr 21, 2004 01:49 PM

The prince is ambiguous in speaking out his mind on how the Ayodhya issue is to be solved. Does he want negotiation between the communities or does he think the court verdict must be adhered to? He says yes to both. Probably he thinks that by so saying he plays it safe. But in effect he speaks like a BJP-ian.

But as Indians we must all bow to the judicial verdict, since the court is siezed of the issue. I am sure there are millions of Hindus like me for whom religion is confined within the Puja rooms of their homes and who swear on the Gita that salvation lies in sacrificing every Dharma worth its name. We certainly see Ram or Krishna inwardly and not in a temple that is proposed to be built on the blood of so many people by striking a blow on what Hinduism stands for. Unfortunately no one listens to our voice but not so in your case, Mr Prince. People like you who are listened to must speak fearlessly to uphold Dharma -the Dharma of the land and the Dharma of human conscience. For in actuality, Dharma means that which must be protected, supported and upheld. The BJP seems to follow the Gita dictum on sacrifice in the wrong context.

Agree
by javeed on Apr 21, 2004 12:34 PM

I agree fully agree with His Highness Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali Azim Jah.
There is nothing wrong in his statement.
First of all muslims don't have good leaders.
We are dependent on all other parites.
I don't know if we have any muslim party, if we have i dont think they have reached any level or have any image.
I stongly hate the reservation policy i want that to be removed for all muslims, as long we have this policy there is no improvement for us 100%.

We should have a image in politics which is non existent.
I want to make a comment on babri masjid also, let them destroy all masjids of INDIA,those who destroyed Babri masjid are not at all hindus, they are all first grade illterate criminals they will be destroyed one day, i will give a solid example , take the case of Saddam hussein,he had every thing with him , he was destroyed.
Once babri masjid was destoyed , the first one to aplogize was my friend( he is brahmin ), he said we are all insulted.
Just because they are few fools in hindu or muslim community , we should never insult or critize the whole community.
This should be a warning to people like Narender modi and or BJP, VHP or RSS or SHIVSENA whoever it is.

Muslims are not minorities
by Mohammed zia on Apr 21, 2004 12:17 PM

Yes muslims are not minorities, you can see in indian history since idependence muslims are struggling to get there rigths without any reservation, now also can get, but in India one comunity is there who is trying to make the difference on religion bases and cast bases, in my opinion giving a cast name is nothing but lagughing on his/her cast. Morden world tring to make equal rigths for the all human beings, if we are divinding the in to cast means we running towords stone age. Feel all are same, equal, all have equal power to change the world.
