but that's what you are not getting!! What was the point of taking three wicketkeepers at the sametime in playing XI??? Two proper batsmen like Rayudu and Mayank Aggarwal in place of two of those wicketkeepers could have seen India sailing to final but unfortunately we dumb heads as decision makers in Indian cricket!!!

If Dhoni promoted to bat at no.4/5, he can control/guide in one end the hitters like Pant, Pandya and Jadeja & rotate for runs, Kartik has to come in Dhoni's place for any shootout in last 3-4 overs...
We lost a match after having a experienced like DHONI dueto BAD decision by Management !
After giving big platform like IPL in which every captain of team is in Indian Cricket Team we cannot accept Tactical Blunders in World Cup. World Cup is not a experiment laboratory.
cricket is wel planned and fixed game. every thing is fix before match start. who will loss and who will get cup . everything is decided by corporates and management. so do not waste the time
Sitting in the gallery or in front of a computer anything be commented by old guards and journalists - Postmortem. Whatever it be they won 7 out of 8 games easier as Rohit played at his best. Since Rohit played at best along with Rahul also played better. When the best failed, the other one also failed - as happened earlier when Tendulkar was at his best. Had Dhoni been asked to bat after 24/4, he would have influenced Pant and Hardik and extracted more from them - may be psychologically, the players would have been confident of batting. It is a strategical mistake done by the team management.
Whether it is right or not, Chauhal ought to have been dropped and Shami must have been inducted. Chauhal given away more than 60 runs while Santner has given away very less caused the difference. However, I could say that Santner\'s bowling ought to have been hit. The team relied more on two spinners - not worthy at all.
TEAM SELECTION: is also not good - Repeatedly said that middle order is weak - some better option ought to have been made. Experienced Rayudu and Rahane would have been considered. Instead of Kuldeep or Cauhal, Aswin ought to have been considered, atleast he could have bat. Karthik has failed miserably, however he was not considered for 8 games and allowed to play just for 2 games. Similarly Jadhav has not at all been tried by Kohli- as if he is meant for batting only -As the batting was good for 7 games Jadhav not at all tested for batting too.

Lets say we won, guess nobody would have discussed the points that are now trending. We all know about the fragile middle order and inspite of this shortfall, the selectors erred in plugging the gap. when Shikhar was out of play, a logical way of strengthening is to bring in a specialist batsman. Selectors preferred Rishabh, though a promising talent he has to go the distance in proving in crunch games. He is known for his in promptu style and lacking in maturity. Dinesh has done this and that long ago and has not had an eventful IPL too. If one sit back and look at the micro level, selectors have goofed up. Ambati Rayudu has had a good IPL and a specialist batsman. He should have been considered if not from the start, at least when Shankar was ruled out. Vijay shankar was lucky to have great start via his bowling and then everything fizzled out. He has no credentials when it comes big matches and selectors have been harping on potential. Selectors ego have costed big time. Rayudu's tweet did not go well and he was right in tweeting. Prasad has faced similar experiences when he was playing and he should know better why one must not indulge in ego wars.
And 9 out of 10 times will demolish this New Zealand side any day any time. It was a sheer upset or fluke just like 1983 finals when India beat Windies of those times. You can always have such a match where you really can't do much but to forget it asap.
