This is a very hasty and ill thought of decision influenced more by sentiments than logic. He is an extremely talented and dedicated cricketer and is bound to do well. He is a sportsman and a very good one at that and sportsmen do not quit. They fight back, conquer all adversaries and then emerge triumphant. Come on champ, don't despair. A world cup is not the end of life. Look at poor Jadeja - Spending his time carrying water bottles and taking a catch once in a while. would you have preferred that?

Not hasty at all, he is now 33 and has almost reached 'retirement age' for cricketers!!!
