Dada now u understood how is the life of an employee of a private sector company vis a vis an govt employee.....insecurity, politics, injustice, super methodology in executing but horrible strategy from top ... ha ha ha... pain is u have to face this every day untill u retire at 58 yrs age, and most of time u cant reach out to the guy at top since u r administered by a chain of managers :(
He was a good test player but poor in ODI and awful in T-20. He never accepted this fact and was always adamant. But undoubtedly he was a brilliant captain and is a good person.

He was not good enough for T20. But his ODI record speaks for itself. He was one of the most attacking players of his generation. At least check your facts before expressing any opinion. But what can we expect of somebody who cannot even write his own name?
Dada, please maintain a safe distance from a wicked person like Khan. Kindly don't boast of the friendship with him. Similarly please stay away from the hazardous company of TMC. All these devalues your personality. You don't need these crook people around you
Dada was the one who brought the fighting spirit and confidence in Indian team; which was lacking earlier( despite Kapil Dev's exploits) ! But, is also true that , at that particular stage of career, he was not an ideal T20 player to come in the middle order.

Right Dada was a great captain who brought an aggressive , fearless approach in the team. He was a great motivator for newer entrants He did exceedingly well in tests & ODIs !!!

With due respects, Ganguly's strike rate of 117 was poor. In the absence of a genuine hitter who could force the pace, this was telling. Plus a retired player does not play usually for more than a couple of years.

117 is not bad if you have an average of 38. It means you are scoring 38 from 32 balls on an average every match. That's fairly good. Someone may score 13 runs of 6 balls, but that doesn't add bulk to the team total. The role of increasing the run rate should be on lower order hitters. That was KKR's problem during the Ganguly years.

U think MSD is a batter. He is but a lower order one, not a top 3. Plus he is also a keeper and a fairly good one at that.

Agree. But fairly good? I think he is hands down the best wicketkeeper in India now. Even at this stage of his career. No one comes close in keeping skills.

which away test series my dear? against BD? ganguly never won a single overseas test series...msd and dravid have won 2 overseas test series victories...
the aura of away test wins of ganguly are built upon his 6 test wins against bd and zimbabwe...apart from that he has not won much away...

He was the captain when India drew the series against Australia and England in their own backyards. This is was a great achievement, considering how India used to get slaughtered like lambs away from home. Under Tendulkar, if you remember, India got whitewashed 3-0 against Australia in Australia. It was under Ganguly that India started showing the stomach for fight in alien conditions. Under Ganguly, India won the test series and one-day series in Pakistan.
