which away test series my dear? against BD? ganguly never won a single overseas test series...msd and dravid have won 2 overseas test series victories...

the aura of away test wins of ganguly are built upon his 6 test wins against bd and zimbabwe...apart from that he has not won much away...

He was the captain when India drew the series against Australia and England in their own backyards. This is was a great achievement, considering how India used to get slaughtered like lambs away from home. Under Tendulkar, if you remember, India got whitewashed 3-0 against Australia in Australia. It was under Ganguly that India started showing the stomach for fight in alien conditions. Under Ganguly, India won the test series and one-day series in Pakistan.

It does not matter if you are a superstar or not. By KKR team management has been pathetic from the beginning. Even this years auction is a proof of it.

Still Love DADA a Lot ....

Slute you for your unparallel contributions to Indian Cricket ..... you will rule our heart forever. Nobody's capability should be measured by success or failure in IPL, it is toattaly a franchise circus, not at all serious cricket.

Best captain and best team player

Sourav is the best captain I have ever seen and he is ready to do any thing for team and boys. He had given his opening batting place to Sehwag, then India team got a great opener like Sehwag. And he fought for Anil Kumble for Australian tour with management and said without Anil I will not go Australia if want you can keep some body else as captain. Then they selected Anil. He backed Lakshman strongly and saved his test career. He has given great cricket life to Yuvraj. He groomed Yuvraj, Harbhajan, Zaheer, Sehwag. And given support for careers of Anil Kumble, Lakshman and Dravid when BCCI decided to remove Dravid from ODI s he made him wicket keeper and kept his place in team. He lost his personal career for captaincy and team and involved in more controversies for team to perform well. What can I say how love him, he is best in my life in entertaining me in cricket or any sport.

Bang on Target !!
Sourav was a catalyst in building a team. He was best as opener.
He had first put Sachin on No. 3 while fitting in Sehwag. But when he observed Sachin's form plummeting, he sacrificed his opening slot for Sachin-Sehwag duo. This also led to the decline of Dada.
That's the sign of a great captain.
He was the one who brought in and backed Yuvraj, Zaheer, Kaif, Nehra, Harbhajan, Dhoni.
These were the guys to won us World Cup.
Dada's contribution to building a team is invincible.

Ganguly was an ordinary Test player but a great captain. He taught the Indian team how to win from hopeless situations. But in the shortest format whatever he may say about runs he was just not upto it. His strike rate is nothing to write home about but his fielding was appalling. He was too slow in the field & calling himself an athlete is a complete embarrassment. KKR & SRK know best why they dropped him & they were truly wise to do so.

you dont know abcs of cricket. Ganguly was a legend in shorter format of the game and won matches singlehandedly
He is 7th in the list of most number of man of the matches in odi and second among indian barring Tendulkar
You are fit formadrassah speech not cricket analysis

Yes he was a great captain but to term himself an athlete is a shocker. He was awful in the field.
