Vijay came into the series as the key man and after two failures he was shown the door. In the first 2 matches everyone other than Kohli failed. Rohit got so many series to cement his place and no question on Rahane (please look at his last innings prior to trent bridge test), Vijay is expected to perform series after series....Extremely harsh
The pitch @ trent bridge is way better than the first two tests, Vijay would have played well if given the opportunity....
Shame on selectors and their attitude towards south indian cricketers

New comers need to be groomed with the seniors. Young player is new find like Tendulkar when he was draft to test side. If prithvi gets opportunity to play ateast in the fifth test he can be a future prospect. 34 years old Vijay not required when so many youngsters who are performing are knocking the foors like Mayank and Shreyas Aiyer etc., All the best to youngsters. Good decision by selectors in selecting inform and consistently performing batsmen
