Murali Vijay has to blame no one else but himself for being dropped.Leave aside the scores, the problem was his confidence level looked to have totally collapsed and it was difficult for captain to have given him more chance under these conditions. While at lords the conditions were indeed very tough he should have taken care to convert his good start in the 1st test into big scores. He is bit unlucky too in the sense that the conditions in the 3rd Test were not even half as tough as at lords and may be he would have scored there. He can only hope he has been dropped(rightly ) only for this series and will be in contention for future series based on his past performance.Prithvi Shaw's selection certainly raises eyebrows many youngsters seniors to him have done even better.Even Hanuman Vihari selection looks arbitrary.I am afraid the culture of contagious disease of arbitrary decisions seem to be spreading right from the top down to every field.
Quota system does not apply to Mumbai cricketers. They can select any number of them, but when it comes to South, they chose Hanuma Vihari over Mayank Agarwal to fill Andhra Quota as KL Rahul is representing Karnataka. Anyway good to see some new faces.

Get out of this kind of mentality. South Indians are mostlyCheap people
again has been overlooked. someone who is consistently performing for last few seasons doesn't get a look in but Shaw who is just now started gets in due to Mumbai Mafia? ... Harsh on Vijay who was mainstay for the last 4 years and Rahane prior to this innings had failed for 2 years... there is no logic or reasoning here...

Because Siraj is M and India is under BJP, Ankit is from Rajput community who created ruckus during padmavati's release spoiling name of BJP...he he he
Vijay came into the series as the key man and after two failures he was shown the door. In the first 2 matches everyone other than Kohli failed. Rohit got so many series to cement his place and no question on Rahane (please look at his last innings prior to trent bridge test), Vijay is expected to perform series after series....Extremely harsh
The pitch @ trent bridge is way better than the first two tests, Vijay would have played well if given the opportunity....
Shame on selectors and their attitude towards south indian cricketers
