if we desire to be any body in international cricket first and formost we need to ban IPL. it is causing unwarranted injury to players and they are not fit. more over some poor underperformers come out shining in IPL and have no class for international cricket.

I think IPL helps create good ODI and T20 cricketers. I guess what they need to do is manage workload of main players better (India squad players). IPL should be looked as an avenue to get good talent and not as a medium to sell players and entertain crowds. Sadly, the latter is the focus!

What has IPL got to do will this ??. IPL is the best thing that has happened to Indian Cricket especially for the domestic uncapped Indian Cricketers.IPL provides a platform and employment opportunities to 100's of Crickters while Indian National team on other hand is an elite cosy club of same 14-15 players selected again n again.
No Indian Cricketer picked up an injury in the IPL , if you want to reduce the injuries and save players for marquee tours like v/s Eng or Aus then reduce/ or scrap alltogether the amount of meaningless International Cricket i.e bilateral ODI'S n T20's.
IPL is a T20 based format and those so called poor underperformers like Pandya,Chahal,Bumrah etc have done quite well for India in T20's n ODI's.
Lastly Internationl Cricket from last decade is having poor standards where No. 1 International team like India is being hammered by England and if the same mighty England team were to tour India a month later they would similarly get hammered in Indian pitches. So you don't need any class as such to succeed at International Cricket .

England team almost 04 years back under captaincy of Cook had won test match series in India. Indian players were struggling lead by Dhoni were struggling to play spin in Indian pitches.
Does anyone remember when India has last won Test match series in England, Australia and South Africa ?

Yes, they have been miserable. Sadly, their heroics in Indian subcontinent over rides their failures abroad (especially England though did well in SA in ODIs recently; but yes, Tests abroad is a worry).

1- Kick out Ravi Shastri to commentary box. 2- Test captaincy should be given to Ashwin. 3- Vijay, Dhawan and DK should be sacked with immediate effect 4- Bring Kumble back as Team Coach 5- Hire Dravid as batting coach 6- Hire Zaheer as bowling coach 7- Give new players chance to prove, like Punth, Sanju Samson, etc.
All the above suggestions are made in the best interest of Indian Cricket-- by an ardent Indian supporter for the last 30 years. But, I am sure nothing will happen... and Kohli and Shastri will enjoy their supremacy and power--- the long this duo get a chance to work together the more the damage will be...

Good observations, sir! Only submission is on point#3, we dont have replacements for them for the remaining 3 tests. Maybe we need to groom players from next such tour (especially if conditions are seaming like you see in SA and NZ).

we will be more than happy, if they act on 6 points only-- the mindset and outcome of the games can change drastically-- we have everything you could ask for just need right intentions from BCCI in the best interest of the Team India, the legacy and earlier successful teams culture made by Gangulyz, Kumblez, Dhoniz test teams should not be changed for few powerful individuals.
What is Sashtri's job? All or most of them are great players under a different condition. Then why were they not prepared for the English conditions? What is Sashtri doing?
Losing is fine but some of them given the tag of "Test Specialists" are nowhere near to that. England is a place where swing is king and lack of application using straight bat cost the "Tagged Specialists". Team Management should think someone like Prithvi Shaw and Rishab Pant to be given a go as they are fearless and technically correct.

SHILPA MADAM ON DAY ONE!!!!
NOTHING TO WORRY ; ENG ARE HOME TIGERS by Shilpa Mehta (View MyPage) on Aug 10, 2018 04:04 PM | Hide replies | Hide message Since ENG has PLANNED against Kohli , today
they may manage to get him early .
Viraat alone cannot score in each & every innings .
But SURELY some one will play a KOHLI today .
Even 175 - 200 is ENOUGH for ENG on this wicket .
They will not be able to play a single ball properly bowled by KULDEEP & ASHWIN .

MESSAGE TO TEAM ENG by Shilpa Mehta (View MyPage) on Aug 11, 2018 03:33 PM | Hide replies | Hide message TO ALL ENG TEAM MEMBERS :
We all know that Team India's batting is not so weak that ENG can bowl them out on 107 .
In other words , ENG's bowling is not so strong that they can bundle India around 100 ,
Its just the wicket , weather conditions & home advantage for HOME GROUND HERO'S .
MR. ANDERSON : CAN YOUR REPEAT EVEN HALF OF THIS PERFORMANCE ON INDIAN PITCHES OR EVEN NEUTRAL VENUES ??
NO NEVER - - -
On the contrary , Team India has defeated your team in 20-20 series last month on your own backyard .
Can ENG beat India in India in any format of the game ?? NO NEVER - - -
AND REMEMBER , THIS SERIES IS NOT YET OVER . TEAM INDIA IS WELL KNOWN TO BOUNCE BACK STRONGLY .
should be honoured for his cool attitude at this crucial juncture. The team should be made to visit alps mountains for 1-2 days so that the entire team spirit is high. Meanwhile Anushka and kohli should try and visit bukhimgam palace and take blessings for long and blissful life.
