One can't win each and every game. Your opposition also possesses certain skills and they are there to win as well. There is no shame in losing a game but what was disheartened to see, the way defending champs went down. Total surrender... except Pandya showing some fight. There was no plan B while bowling or batting, no innovation on the field. If you compare with earlier matches, one can see from the body language of players that they were not 100% in the game. No doubt Pakistan played better cricket on the most important day but I feel India simply handed over the championship title on a platter.
Every one has a OFFDay and everyone dreads that it should not be the day of the finals. The same Pakistani team came across as a lame ordinary team in the first game but their urge to win and prove themselves was higher or the hunger to prove was greater. Anyways Virat and team should remember each gesticulation and insult spewed upon them by Mr. Amir and party during bowling and reply them back in plenty in the next encounter. That's a manly way to prevail
It is a question of commitment. Hockey team played the match with black arm band as a protest and naturally they took the match seriously. But same thing was not found with Virat and his team

Agree completely with you. 'Lackadaisical' is the word for the approach to a final game which this Captain showed. Is he same in approach with Miss A Sharma ?
The fact is Kohli is being always compared against sachin and said to be better than sachin. This is the first time kohli is playing against a quality bowler whih he could not even sustain for few overs. Kohli scores tons of runs against low quality bowler, I would say Sachin was great and will remain as great.
It's not about just one match but crumbling in most crucial match. This is when the leaders are tested. Leaders leads from front at the time of crisis and brings out the extra from ordinary team member. Dhoni had done this on several occasions like first T-20, WC-2010 etc. Virat has shown lot of aggression while shooting the mouth on & off the field but failed to match same with performance as captain. In individual capacity he is one of the finest cricketers. Definitely, it wasn't only the luck that betrayed team India in all important finals but there were other not so obvious reasons also

Shame on Virat Kohli. Leaders lead by example and not their action should speak more than their words
