It is not merely the loss sustained against Pakistan. There is need to look more deeply into what ails the Indian cricket. There have been several comments about Virat\'s option to field first after winning the toss; and that this factor alone has led to its defeat. But I am of the opinion that it goes even prior to that - the team selection. First and foremost, we have to overcome such silly notions that \'the winning combination should not be disturbed\' etc. The team selection should be entirely based on current form on the day of the match; and no other factor. I just wonder how Ashvin continues to be an integral part of the team although he has never looked capable of taking wickets (he is ironically dubbed as the wicket-taking bowler). There have been great offspinners even in this form of the game, remember Saqlain? Then, what are Umesh and Rahane doing, sitting on the bench? These two should have replaced Ashvin and Jadhav. Bumra can only be a support bowler, not a strike bowler. He would have definitely performed better if he were to support Bhuvi and Umesh. In this match, he looked like a club-level greenhorn with a very negative body language. Having said all this, let it be realized that the Pakistan fast bowlers completed their job by cleaning up the top five in the first few overs. Amir was scarily reminiscent of Wasim Akram in his prime; and ably supported by the others-absolutely unplayable. Rather than ruing over the defeat, let us do some introspectio

Life, election or game winning and losing is a matter of chance. Some times we win and some times we lose. We cannot keep winning all the time? So,it is quite OK.
