Opting to field in finals
by govindarajan kuppan on Jun 19, 2017 12:20 PM

India opting to field in finals lead us to get defeated because players are tired and the pressure catches them easily

Weak bowling
by Mangesh Prabhakar Asawalikar on Jun 19, 2017 11:53 AM

Highly pathetic to see a highly populous country with no good spinners and fast bowlers. None of the bowlers could make an impression and could not turn as the Pakistan bowlers were. The root cause was Indian bowling attack with short pitch deliveries and no turn on the wicket. Same age old story !

Arrogant Kohli
by Dheeru Sinha on Jun 19, 2017 11:42 AM

He fights with coach & seniors. Picks up Ashwin in place of Umesh Yadav or Shami. Retains jadeja for doing nothing. Dhoni & Yuvraj are no more than burden on the team. What is Ajinkya rahane doing. Why not bring in youth who have proved themselves in IPL & other formats of the game. Selectors, Coach & Team captain must not forget that We Indians are very passionate about Cricket. loosing is one thing but loosing so badly is unforgettable.

Kohli spells out the turning points of the match

This Cricket between India and Pakistan is always a Headache than an entertainment. Any Game is played by players as individuals or as a team between them and definitely one wins other looses or tied. Enjoy the game in that way.
Otherwise ban this International Cricket in India for few years and concentrate on other games in which our youngsters are doing very good now-a-days.
At the most let IPL continue, a real entertainment with no tensions. Sorry if I am wrong in saying so. Regards
Uma

agree absolutely.. bowling first was a wrong decision by kohli .. had india batted first and scored 250-300 runs pakistan wud had failed miserably chasing those runs. Only hardik pandya showed some guts rest entire team failed in executing the chase.

Cricket is game of gentlemen after the result of e Champions Trophy & picture put above where Captain Kohli walks past the trophy after where his face clearly indicates he came here for time pass even not worried about own country it confirm charge given as captain is to wrong person so nation has to suffer every one can not win one is winning when opponent loss but losing without performance & showing no respect for him self for nation also no respect for sport as he do not look at trophy great kohli one can not expect such performance bad luck to India cricket team having such leader

Mistakes in my View
by Ron Bose on Jun 19, 2017 09:42 AM  | Hide replies

1. Should have batted first, as Pakistan has poor record for chasing

2. Should have included Umesh Yadav on playing eleven in palce of kedar yadav , he took 3 wickets in first macth againt pak.

3. High time to think about droping Yuvraj, he is not the old fielder anymore.

I agree. Except the Indo-Pak match in WC 2003, India has defeated Pak in World Cup always batting First. Kohli had won the toss and there was no logic in fielding first considering excellent batting conditions (excellent weather, bright sunshine & flat wicket). Inexperienced Pak batting line-up would have crumbled perhaps chasing 275-300 in a high pressure game. The same mistake India had committed in WC final in 2003 when it put Aus to bat after winning the toss (and Aus scored 359/2!). Another important reason for India's defeat is very poor bowling by Bumrah in initial stages. On this flat wicket, the bowlers needed to be very accurate. Any. Again if you analyse very carefully, India,s victories till final match were basically due to some poor batting by opposite teams rather than bowling skill of Indian bowlers. Another reason for India's defeat yesterday was excellent and hostile spell by Amir. Perhaps it was the best bowling spell by any bowler in entire entire tournament.

He is not going to learn from his mistake. He made same mistake in the match against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup when he bowled No ball and the batsman was caught which the third unpire ruled Not out later. India perhaps just scrap through bya run or so in that match luckily. But here we lost massively only because of this bowler.
