These are all the indirect handy work of unwanted, discarded elements who thinks that BCCI is their ancestral property.

Such elements and their followers must be thrown out
of the area of cricket.

Then only cricket will be really a gentlemen's game!!

Inview of the uncomplimentary language of COA, the CAC members should resign forthwith and let the Indian Cricket be done with under Rai.

Beyond Brief
by srinivas r on Jul 15, 2017 12:13 PM

I am afraid the COA & the BCCI are right. The CAC comprising of Ganguly, Tendulkar and Laxman went beyond their brief in selecting support staff. Even if the coach and the captain agreed, they needed BCCI's approval for picking the support staff which in this case was not there

Wrong notion
by Joy Augustine on Jul 14, 2017 09:16 PM

seems OK as the BCCI had consulted Shastri about the appointments. Since their mandate was t appoint the head coach. the grouse seems egoistic

God's mistake

As per media reports Sachin convinced shastry to apply for the post.sachin convinced Dada to appoint shastry. These all are happening to keep kohli happy. When things are not going well with kumble bcci should remove kohli from captaincy. That gives strong message for next generation players. Coach has to be bass of the team. Specially kumble like persons are rare in sports.BCCI would have retain kumble against all odds.

RAVI SHASTRI LANDS AS A TRACER BULLET FIRED BY VINOD RAI !
by damodaran mohan on Jul 14, 2017 06:03 PM  | Hide replies

Even as SC is struggling to reform BCCI for over a yr now the Kumble episode followed by the tragic-comic coach selection process must make SC sit up and take note the kind of difficult people it is dealing with.Tragic-comic because of the entire process, the way the CAC appeared divided but failed to keep it under wraps due to the CAC-BCCI confusion on the name breaking out in the open in the media with CAC forced to finally go by Vinod Rai's diktat to announce Ravi Shastri's name.True to his word Ravi appears for sure the best man manager indeed the way he manged Vinod Rai to land as coach like a tracer bullet leaving at least Saurav licking his wounds in the process. Thus Vinod Rai who was deputed by SC to reform the process ended more like another Srinivasan taking sides pushing his agenda. On the other hand Saurav Ganguly & co. feeling let and bitter pouring down their hurt in their letter to both BCCI and Vinod Rai.The long and short of the story is BCCI is where it was in spite of SC's best efforts with its points man Vinod Rai joining the motely BCCI crowd more as one of them further intriguing the entire process instead of aiding in its reform.
