WHAT IS JURISDICITION OF "CAC"
by jaspal negi on Jul 14, 2017 12:27 PM  | Hide replies

SACHIN LAXMAN AND MAHARAJA..GANGULY WERE APPOINTED BY BOARD (BCCI)TO SUGGEST THEIR PREFERENCE FOR COACH FOR TEAM AND ADVICE BOARD(BOARD DISCRETION) TO APPOINT COACH. HOWEVER, THEY ALSO APPOINTED SUPPORT STAFF OF THEIR CHOICE WHICH IS BEYOND THEIR AUTHORITY. CAC SPECIALLY GANGULY IS PLAYING POLITICS. CAC MUST BE DISSOLVED BY BOARD IMMEDIATELY AND CONSTITUTE A COMMITTEE INCLUDING PLAYERS WHO ARE DISINTERESTED.

Well done Dada, Sachin & Laxman

Really the great cricketers like you all only can teach BCCI and the coterie a strong lesson and show them the place they deserve.
It is high time that the central govt shall take over BCCI and create a Indian sports body comprising of all traditional sports of India for a uniform sports development and churning out the best players/sports persons in the world.

Abolish BCCI
by devegowda mohan on Jul 14, 2017 11:18 AM

only solution is to abolish and release Indian Cricket from clutches of Gavaskars, Tendulkars and Shastris etc.. Drop Kohli everything will be in line. No one is great in front of the Game. Any one plays a good game and a good Individuals we Indians respect. We all idolize people for their talent and goodness. Don't ruin Indian Cricket. Bureaucrats and the officials, Politicians now unfortunately the Army are ruining this country. For heavens sake not cricket please.

Going by the rules.
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Jul 14, 2017 10:09 AM  | Hide replies

The COA merely said that the CAC does not have the authority to appoint people other than the coach. That could well be true.

What are our famous three complaining about ?

Talking to Shastri about Zaheer and Dravid is no excuse for overstepping their mandate.

Absolutely right. The CAC was supposed to recruit only the Coach, not the support staff.

Even in the recruitment of the Coach, there was enough tamasha - delay in the process and Ganguly saying there was no hurry, Tendulkar asking Shastri to apply etc.

They could have stayed within their mandate and we could have been spared their bhaashanbaazi about "informing after the meeting was over", "we played with great integrity" etc.

SHAME TO BCCI
by ramachandra talakall on Jul 14, 2017 10:07 AM

IT IS REALY SHAME TO BCCI AS A HOLE SINCE THE KUMBLE MATTER NOT HANDLED PROPERLY.IT IS CLEAR EVIDENT THAT THE GOOD POLITICAL GAME PLAYED BY SHASTRI & KOHLI TO BRING BACK SHASTRI AS A COACH AND TO TAKE REVENGE OF GANGULY. I STOPPED WATCHING THE CRICKET AFTER KUBLE'S EXIT. REALY THIS IS SHAME ON INDIAN CRICKET. AGAIN SOME REGIONAL VASTED INTERESTS ARE SUPPORTING SHASTRI AS A COACH.
