Venki has done coaching and he has ability to coach. He means business, gritty fellow. Also a neutral guy. Hew was not involved in any controversial even during match fixing days. Hope selectors consider him. Give a chance to all ex players who also has ability to coach. As regards Ravi Shasthri , he can only talk and good commentator. Let him be a commentator where others do not have this skill
Now it is clearly known why Kumble stepped down.Lobbying for the players by their regional selectors was known. Now the so called legends started lobbying for their men for Indian team coach. Nothing unusual. It happens in all field that too in India. Kumble's talent is wasted.
Burst has himself to blame for this coaching mess. Kumble was technically strong in contemporary cricket. Shastri is a good orator, he never did remarkable turnaround in the world cups, where India did not cross beyond semifinals. Lalchand Rajput has a remarkable track record, including a victory in T20 world cup, and him bringing Afghanistan to Test level.
It is known to all that Ravi Shastri is Ex-ICC Chairman Srini man . At one time Sunil Monohar Gavaskar was bitterest critic of Srini. But from the recent statement from him shows that he has mended his ways and to please Srini he is all out to declare Ravi Shastri as top favorite for the post of Indian Coach .If performance is the yardstick for the selection of coach then why he kept mum all the time when Anil Kumble had to resign due to rude and unacceptable behavior of Kohli though performance wise records of Kumble as individual player as well as Indian coach are far superior than Shastri . But it is really shocking that S . M . Gavaskar who does not stop at making comments at each and every events related to Cricket was surprisingly silent regarding Kumble. Regarding Ravi Shastri, it is now well known to every body that Shastri occupies No. 1 position in the wish list of BOSS Kohli because he will be ready to even lick the boots of Kohli for remaining as the head coach of Indian Senior Cricket team . This is his qualification forget about how much good performance he will be able to bring for the team.
Under the present fixed circumstances cricket is no more entertaining, it sucks.
Indian cricket is being manipulated by a nasty lobby of people like Ravi,kohali (fastest among others to have compromised everything) who have turned this game into an industry in their favour.
