Nothing wrong
by MNN on Oct 04, 2016 10:27 AM  | Hide replies

What the SC has done is just & fair. When there were instructions not to disburse large sums of money, why did the BCCI ,not adhere to it .
Here everyone is talking of the independence of the board , administration etc .But the reality is that the bigwigs in the Board & its associates think they are not within the purview of the laws of the land.
Repeated mishandlings, corruption, sycophancy has resulted in the BCCI facing this situation . They always felt that nobody could touch them.
They deserve every bit of it & the Lodha committee & the SC should ensure that this mess is cleaned once & for all, for this if a series is cancelled or IPL is not played , then it is ok, the skies will not come down.

Statutory bodies are jokers in this country. They are bent on harassing only common man who are law abiding. See how scamsters are roaming freely with government securiry protection. What happened to cases of Lallu, Maya, Raja, Kani, Marans, Karthik, jaya, Yeddi, Sadanand, etc., to name a few. Will they ever be prosecuted by law? Never. Whether its congress or bjp or aap, all are garbage in decorated trash box. Balasubramanian

Sorry to say the honorable court are unnecessary overstep in sports matter. The court don't have administrative power at all. Can control ICC by our honorable court. what will happen if ICC cancelling BCCI membership as state interfering in sports? As BCCI a private body than how can interfere by state or court in their internal matter of BCCI? Can honorable Justice Lodha understand cricket? If any cricket player are complaining on BCCI administrative matter at any court? If leading cricket player not willing to play under honorable Justice Lodha system then who will responsible? Is court try to finish cricket in India? are BCCI ever misuse public or govt fund? if somebody not satisfy with BCCI than why he/they will not form another cricket body? BCCI is a business in India. if somebody not interested to BCCI then please not follow any cricket activity under BCCI. like can we interfere in reliance business, TATA business as well as other business. But we can complain other govt funding sports or govt department. Because they are all using public money. I hope people should understand the fact. Don't forget that cricket are popular in India for only BCCI policy.

present day judges have only EGO , they know nobody questions them, because they (judges)have taken immunity from prosecution / other charges to hide their mistakes. Good BCCI has cancelled the Inia - New Zealand series.

Indian Govt should ban BCCI and cricket immediately as it is a bad gift donated to us by Britisher and we are wasting our productive time in this filthy game... My regards to Justice Lodha who dares to confront with such a powerful and reach organisation in support of the people of India...

Supreme Court shall not enter administration. Whether Lodha Committee has directional powers? It appears, Supreme Court and Lodha Committee together will wind up BCCI. While controls, regulations and an environment of fair-play are required, display of 'one-up-man-ship will destroy the institutions. It is time, Supreme Court shall analyse how far can it and Lodha Committee go and do without harming BCCI, without putting the country to shame and also establishing the judicial respectability.

corruption

see the height of corruption. Indian political system is full of corruption, shamelessness & arrogance. Why these politicians are interested so much in cricket. Are they don't want to leave any place where money(black) is involved. Now no cricketer (old or new) will come forward & will say anything because they all are getting their penny. Ban cricket, ban these corrupt politicians from interfering in sports activities.

Supreme Court and Government will destroy the game
by Hariharan Nair on Oct 04, 2016 09:26 AM

It seems the Supreme Court and the Government is bent upon destroying the cricket, the only game in India which made progress and prospects for our younger generation. Everybody knows the status of other games in our country. Intervention of Government and the Supreme Court will this game also.
