MSD Responsibility
by Shirish Kalamkar on Jan 21, 2016 06:47 PM

When MSD came to bat, the required run rate was below 6 and after a wicket, it should have been sensible batting. There was no necessity for him to come before AR at that time.

one can not expect only Rohit and Virat to play in each mach. With such flying start, how can we loose at the end? Dada attitude was seen till 3 Batsman played, but after that????

to Virat Kohli. Your time is up! Play as a Wicky/bat as long as you perform, else it becomes easy for us to kick you out, you know..

True, Dhoni Should be sacked as captain, he can be in the team as player. He is aggressive batsman but very very defensive captain.

Tri-series loss in Australia

Humiliating loss in WC semi final

Loss to minnow Bangladesh

T20 and ODI series loss at home against SA

Now ODI series whitewash in Australia. I'm sure we will lose the T20 matches too

BCCI politicians wake up and get rid of this guys ASAP

I believe time for MSD to play as a wicket -keeper batsman
by ajay chawla on Jan 21, 2016 05:11 PM

I have been a big fan of MSD. However, I believe if the captain himself becomes a non-performer, he has no moral right to tell the other players to perform. I believe its time for MSD to just play as a wicket-keeper batsmen & quit captaincy. Depending on his performance, he can continue the role of wicket-keeper batsman in the team. You just cannot say that because he is done so many times in the past, he needs to be continued as a captain of Indian cricket team. What matters is present and its not that he has a great overseas record in the past

HUSSEY IS CORRECT
by Shilpa Mehta on Jan 21, 2016 05:04 PM  | Hide replies

I am not at all a fan of MSD or any particular player for that matter . BUT -

No player in the world can bail your team in 100 % games .

MSD had won may matches for the country from near hopeless situations many times single handedly but failed only on very few occasions . Its a part of the game .

I remember Yuvraj also failed similarly in last 20-20 WC finals but won many games for India in the past . That does not mean he should be sacked immediately .

Remove MSD & see Team India loses even with greater margins , even at home .

Main culprit is weak bowling attack .
No wicket taking bowlers .
NOTHING ELSE - -

If MSD resigns / dropped , will our bowling attack suddenly improve ??
Answer in BIG NO .

Yes, bowling would not improve, but we lost close matches and his batting would have made a difference. His batting failures cannot be concealed under otherwise poor bowling.
