I agree with you. This is the strongest team for the world cup. 1. Shikhar Dhawan 2. Rohit Sharma 3. Virat Kohli 4. Suresh Raina 5. Yovraj Singh 6. Mahendra Singh Dhoni 7. Irfan Pathan 8. Ravindra Jadeja 9. Ashwin 10. Jaspreet Bumrah 11. Mohammad Sami
I am very very surprised how come Irfan Pathan has not been selected for this SriLankan Series. He should be selected as the Allrounder and should come after Dhoni and before Jadeja.
We have got enough batsman. Since all the batsman is in good form there is no chance to fit even talented player like Shreyas Iyer. But we need a good bowler. Choices will be 1. Hardul Thakur,(Performed well in recent domestic matches & also bats weel). Sandeep Sharma,(performed well in IPL for Kings XI & a restrict well in slog overs which is important.) & finally Ishwar Pandey (was included in the squad earlier but never got a chance in playing XI. Selectors should look into this guy seriously & also too performed well in IPL & also for India A team. Pawan negi is a surprise choice. He is very expensive during IPL season for Chennai Super Kings. Instead we need standy by wicket keeper batsmen.
Three Nil white wash & that too in their own backyard , AUS cricket team has never got such a humiliating defeat in 140 years of cricket history .
SHAME ON NUMBER ONE TEAM .
They thought they are invincible in this game . Over all these years AUS won just because of unfair means like sledging / mind games / or wrong decisions by umpires . Nothing else .
These Ponting / McGrath / Symonds / Brett Lee all were notorious for sledging .
Now they are shown their real place .
Even this ODI series win was a fluke as our bowlers didn't perform & bit of wrong team selection by selectors .
Even , Team India was not at its full strength as Sami & Rahane was injured .
