IPL shall be given two alternatives, 1) Matches shall be played in home country and its profits shall be shared equally to development of India by making Medical health centre, Schools for Villagers and it shall be free of cost. 2) If IPL is not ready to share profit for developement of India, IPL shall be banned for lifetime.
It is simple wastage of Money, Manpower etc. It is generators of Black Money and hike in prices of the ad giver.
This is a paid article trying to mislead Indians about the loss that Indian economy will incurr if the IPL matches is moved out of India. We would all say good riddance to IPL and its organisers. Ban IPL for the good of the country and stop BCCI from further exploiting poor Indians and their meagre resources.

I am no cricket fan nor do I watch IPL matches. However, economic facts are reality. A very minor effect is as under. Poor occupancy in hotel-result new capacity will not be added-employees in hotel will be pruned- will reduce demand in steel, cement industry. Demand in automobile industry will also be effected. Tax collected on IPL tickets alone can fund R.O plant to use Sea water for irrigation. It is unfortunate media blows things out of proportion resulting in loss to society as a whole.
since cricket ground watering is an big waste,,even though the water seeping into the soil may increase ground water level..may be very few cricket grounds are in maharashtra,,but every household in maharashtra must be having garden ..plant..complied togather thousands of cricket grounds..so stop watering plants..let them dry ...Pune university opted for bore water to plant the trees in campus..so called intellectuals forced to stop doing so..this kind of ridiculous thought is going to harm the country...at the most Govt should have charged more for the water used..may be forced them to recycle the water..have own bores..donate more money to drought hit area for infra development to ensure water level improvement...I only hope the so called intellectual put brain together and give long term solution to the country ..

If you start Ki11ing Plants & Trees to save water - Then you should also destroy Crops and Forests to save precious water. Then what will the people eat? they have to just drink water and die.
Without Forests, Farmlands, Plants and Trees, Gardens - Water will be of little use.
IPL has to be played like other events. Only seven matches instead of the existing fourteen currently played. No home teams, but played in neutral venues for both the teams. Remove cheer girls totally, and minimize advertisements. Have fixed player fees in may be three categories. Incorporate a variable pay component as is being followed in many corporates. Cut down unnecessary frills & glamour.
If IPL matches are being moved out because of water scarcity, then let us not have any golf games in Maharashtra and no horse racing. Golf courses and race courses require much more water and on a regular basis than IPL cricket pitches.
