damodaran nittukandi , Yes India is ging down the drain !! The first sign is that of morons who dont know of how to xwitch off CAPs lock !!
If IPL is a profitable business and as it contributes to GDP, Why cant the govt. reserve a portion of the revenues to conserve water/ Green plantation at all cities where IPL is held. This shall be a win win for IPL Management as well as Government.

Mind it, the losses for next year shall be compensated against the present year IPL. i.e. start with water conservation for IPL 2017 against revenues of IPL 2016.
IPL may be private body and a big tamasha but it directly effects the Indian economy in a small way by providing employment to many people directly or indirectly. It is like Indian marriages which are normally very costly but it provides employment to many people. Moving IPL out of India is not a solution at all.Use of sea water may solve the problem. BCCI is a rich body, it should use sea water processing units to water the pitch and ground which will be definitely cheaper than moving the event to another country.
