Rajeev Shukla is surviving on his Chamchagiri to Sharad Pawar and even though he has never played any competitive cricket, he is on the board of IPL . This opportunist man is only interested in power, position ,perks in the name of cricket and put his futile efforts to stop shifting of IPL without having any sympathy for the people affected by acute shortage of water.
IPL has no relation with drought, but right it is a Tamasha when farmers are suffering, many indians suffering from a livelihood crisis, drinking water crisis, but everyone keeping eyes shut inspite of repeated need for help to overcome this. But many warfooting actions are doing to support IPL matches making money by rich, politicians, media and public go there enjoying and making them stars.
Why didnt Rajeev Shuklas party not do anything about water supply to farmers, canals and dams in drought areas when they were in power. They siphoned off the money and are enjoying. They have no guts to catch the scamsters and recover the money. Now you pay.
When we are paying the taxes we should have the write to see the match. Farmers are not paying a single paise taxes and all the interest and subsidies has been enjoyed by tehm. even after paying more than 4 lacks as income tax i have not received a single facility free from Govt. and even the subside on GAS is not available. Govt should start thinking about taxpayers

So, you think watching IPL mathes anywhere by taxpayers is more important than focussing on drought crisis, farmers suffering, livelihood crisis, drinking water crisis at such areas. Then you are true indian & human being.

There is an old saying...'Any thing excess is Poison'. What is the need & relevance of IPL when the world T20 just concluded 2 weeks ago? Looking at it from the little bit of water used on the grounds is myopic...Also look at the millions of hours that the public wastes on watching the game every evening and the power supply consumed and the water/ coal used to generate that power. This is just one example. There are lakhs who waste fuel to reach stadia and hundreds of players and organizers traveling by flights & cars roaming around in the country.
While we cannot have regulations to decide the number of cricket matches per year, it is high time that we get back our common sense!! Don't say 'mind your business' :-)

These two talk rot and Sharad power in the back drop? Swimming pools don't use water on day to day. They are circulated and cleaned!! Many lawns use bore well water!! Sugar factories can be shut down at the cost of unemployment? Answers their strange questions!! Such a huge crowd toilet and water consumption and lawns and other locations use lot of water!!
