If you want to fight the drought, you also need money. Ultimately, the IPL matches will bring money to the economy of the city and the state. Ultimately, the money is for the businesses in the state - be it money for the local shopkeepers or taxi drivers, tour operators etc. or money for the bigger players like the airports etc. And of course, more tax money to the state. It makes no sense to deal a blow to the city and state's economy and further worsen a situation when you need money to fight a drought situation. The government can't just make up the money, they need to earn the money as well. If anything, they can request IPL or the state cricket board to donate a portion of their earnings as good samaritan and help their fellow citizens out. Moving the matches out doesn't achieve anything - it only cripples the state's economy further.
How about trying pitch curing with sea water, how will it behave and how about dried out grass turf Looks like artificial synthetic pitches and grass is not far off
IPL matches should not happen in Mah...severe draught is there in many parts...when people are suffering due to lack of water how can we waste water for sports...should be stopped.

Stop trains. Stop planes. Stop pools. Stop restaurants. Stop bathing. Stop brushing teeth. Stop the state. You are right.
IPL is worlds best cricket league..generated billions of revenue for government in the form of taxes. BCCI could pay premium charges for water or could be asked to provide financial support. shifting matches at this stage unprofessional and would kill the league.
the courts and judiciary of India os also inefficient with so many pending cases for so many years. whats the use of these courts., Why shouldn't they be shifted.
