RAVI SHASTRI s SUPPORT TO VIRAT KOHLI
by Sridharan Srinivasan on Apr 01, 2015 07:48 AM

indian. Public are spending crores of money everyday directly / indirectly in supporting cricket. Players have become crorepathies at the age of 25/30. Compared to Australians who try to play by application of mind & so they are perhaps the best international team who succeed in all countries by a higher percentage than most others, Indians continue by native instinct which results in better success rate within the country than outside. Better learn from Austrailians than being Emotional& supporting it.

The Entire Indian Team's Work Ethics and Morale should be questioned.

Virat is after all only one Batsman, who like his Predecessor Sachin Tendulkar fails to fire on the Big day when India need him the most.

As a team, this particular Indian team is nowhere close to being Australia, South Africa, England, New Zealand and even Pakistan team is far more Patriotic and take their cricket seriously (See Wahab Riaz's spell vs Australia) .

Indian players are only performing in patches in IPL matches and some in Home ODI games like Rohit Sharma who scored 264 vs Sri Lankans.

In the Big Stage when they face Better teams with Quality pace or spin attack - They crumble - No matter how much you pay them, whatever facilities and Support or Staff are given they are really a huge waste of money.

We are like children when compared with Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and England who play with much more pride and honesty than ours.

Disciplinary action
by kumar mani on Mar 31, 2015 08:18 PM  | Hide replies

It seems everyone is praising the Indian team for their performances in world cup.I really do not understand whether they desrve this praises as they are supposed to perform and they also happen to be best paid sports persons in the world.BCCI should take disciplinary action against Shikar Dhawan for playing an irresponsdible shot in the semifinals as he forgot that he was very lucky to survive on dropped catches. If you look at the innings he had played against South africa and Ireland he had survived on dropped catches and luck only helped him for scoring runs.Virat also played an irresponsible shot and apart from one century against Pakistan he rarely batted with any responsibilty. The disciplinary action against these players must be a wake up call for others to perform and less we talk about Jadeja the better it is for the country.Let us try new talented players without any tags and groom them for the future.
Our Team director opens his mouth more than necessary and we all know his performances on the field except in the champions trophy and was a subject of booing from the spectators.
Kind request for BCCI to wake up and follow the Aussie way

THey are best paid because of the people in this country who are cricket crazy. Also being best paid doesnt guarantee a world cup win. English footballers are the best paid footballers in the world, how many football wcs have they won?

Virat should understand the challenge and work hard now onwards
by naveen fernandes on Mar 31, 2015 06:48 PM

A 19 years old guy from Delhi belonging to a middle class family was playing a Ranji Trophy match for his hometown. On the 2nd Day when he was batting in his 40s,suddenly he got a call from his uncle informing about his father's demise. He didn't leave for the funeral, stood by his team's side till the last day and scored a match winning ton and removed his helmet hugged his close friend present at the non strikers end and cried looking up towards sky. Today that man is a living legend in terms of Cricket. And He goes by the name Virat Kohli. So think twice before you criticize.
"If u can't stand with them in defeat... U should not celebrate their wins also. A team that many outruled of reaching the semifinals also performed well in world cup. Winning and loosing are part of the game. All d best for the future games. Play n have fun.
- Sachin Tendulkar"

If at all the above is true, then money is spoiling this well groomed cricketer. He should use his talent to perform consistently. Only thinkg we fans have observed is when it is needed the most, he has failed. All the best

why virat fails at knock outs?
by Sameer Joshi on Mar 31, 2015 05:32 PM  | Hide replies

Definitely Virat is a great player, as said by Mr. Ravi Shastri. But the only question is then why this great player fails at most of the knock outs? I think he should concentrate on his game in the big matches because he has to face great bowling. The shot he played in the semi-final against johnson was
the proof that he took johnson easily.

irat is good performer. However when it is needed he should have performed. When the country needs runs he takes care of his girl friend. In fact he has compromised for his girl friend ins place of his mother cricket india.
The result is obvious

its really puzzling how he lost form from test series to ODIs.?
may be he did not get enough dropped chances in ODIs.
pak series in india 2012-13, junaid khan really sorted him out and his arrogance,
