Yes. There was no hype and we brought back the WC as promised. Shastri stands vindicated, Ghosh is writing cr@p. :-)
Who responds to the hype? We only. Aussies wrench their guts in the field because there are other superstars available in Hockey, Tennis and Swimming and Aussie Public shares their sports love for them. We are however blindly treating our mercenary cricketers as our Nation's Idols. These paper tigers croak when they meet the real tigers in yellow. Now there will be Gali Galoch Cricketrs' houses will be burnt to be reconstructed from IPL Money!!!!!
Instead of mauka mauka there should be "models models". But this game is totally sponsored by MNC looting thousand of crores from our country. Our(so called) cricketers (so called) are totally shameless. Dhoni is still the captain of CSK the great team managed by corrupt official. Even our legendary cricketer cum model cum politician cum business tycoon Sachin tendulkar was having no shame in accepting Bharat Ratna ahead of true legend Major dhyanchand. This was truelly shameful attitude by so called great. Cricket is not a game nowadays its just a business run by MNC.

Did you notice that Mother Teresa accepted shamelessly some awards ahead of Vallabh Bhai Patel? And that Kailash Satyarthi accepted the Novel prize shamelessly ahead of Lal Bahadur Shastri? Any response?

Was Kailash Satyarthi as shameless as Mother Teresa for accepting the Nobel award ahead of Lal Bahadur Shastri and Govind Vallabh Pant and Mahatma Gandhi and Shekhar Agarwal?
The players are getting huge amount in betting, thats why they are not playing well.anyhow players need money and make the viewers fooooolz.............
Well I believe that the Indians need to Put the Same Effort that the Australians, South Africans and New-zelanders are putting. Let there be more efforts going in training and maturity. Experience counts. The Indians have failed to learn from their tour to Australia and gather their weakness. What is the team manager doing ?
They are interested in making too many STARS who are hyped and rake in moolah instead of statistically bringing the system up for National duty.
Imagine a few players going off the Australian cricket team - they will be replaced with almost equally strong team from the bench in no time.
You have to create a system which will say create a pool of 15-20 batsman and 15-20 bowlers and improve their skill sets, regularly (by having them compete with each other in a closed environment) and almost all of them will be on equal contracts - instead of creating superstars earning 300 crores. You may even have a system in which all Ads-campaigning earning of these STARS are divided so that 20% is retained by players and rest is used to bring up this sport and other sports in nation by creating facilities across the country.
Current system has too much division between economic status of the stars causing all kinds of politics and favoriticism as well instead of focus on national service. People in team are merely looking for each other for preservation of their financial strength - nation is suffering.

That's a good proposal, where in endorsement money is divided among all players. Also, you don't want few star cricketers earning easily 100 Crores (any corporate CEO will be put to shame by this kind of earnings). Part of the money can easily be utilized not just for development of cricket, but also upliftment of other sports in India.
