Semi finals against Australia
by srirama chandra rao on Mar 22, 2015 09:16 PM  | Hide replies

No doubt about Australia's capability and quality team. But of late India is doing very well and its failure in triseries is a forgotten story as we have to live in present and plan for future. Maxwell's comments are part of Australian mind game

The media interaction at Sydney
by piri on Mar 22, 2015 12:13 PM  | Hide replies

felt like IPL to Glen Maxwell because there were only 3 Australians in the crowd of reporters !

Looks like India is not news and does not interest the native population in Australia even after reaching the semi-final and are set to face the hosts !

As a TOI columnist said long ago about media coverage for India in the developed west, "Sorry, India is hardly news" !

If the situation was reversed, i.e., if the world cup was on in India and Australia and India are to play a semi-final, the Indian media would have been splashed completely yellow with the Aussie jerseys !

India believe in performance and don't care for the barking dogs as they know it very well that if they won against Australia all this barking dogs will be totally silent and sit quietly with their tails between their legs.

And what happens if Australia trounces India ?

The Indians will be looking for their legs to hide their tails ?

You are the only b.....y Indian who don't believe in Indian teams capabilities on their past and current performance and have more confidenc which even Australians themselves don't have and think that they are unbeatable ?

Mr Maxwell, India may not have won any game against you this year but they are very much sure to humiliate you before your own crowd and as a host of this World Cup, they will be compelled to see the final played by others than them.

Where can you hide if Aus wins big - as could be very likely given how the Indians have never mastered top quality pace attacks that are as focussed as that of Aus - on the 26th ??

There is nothing to hide for any one if India lose against Aussies. but don't ever under estimate Indian team who has won two World Cup in 50 over format and one in 20 over format beating leading world teams.

You wrote taunts for Maxwell implying that you are sure about India humiliating Australia !

So, if the reverse happens, there would be a big load of egg on your face!

People with egg on their faces usually try to slink away and hide - if they can !

Let this Gleen Maxwell know that ...his job is to finish it off (match)...as he batting No 6 and he has top 05 champion batsman ahead of him....
This kind of snide confidence ..that India has not won this summer.........is good sign of inadequacies, self inflicted threats and a kind of certain and sure defeat to Australia in their own land, with own crowd supporters and poor unsportsmanlike behavior...a hall mark and trade mark patent of this lousy and clumsy Kangaroo.. .
MSD Sir wiill ensure that loud mouth and foul utterance...that I will finish it off...will make this Maxwell finally state that " I (we) are finished-off by Indians..........."
Captain Cool, maintains cool, exhibit coolness and swipe/writes of coolly....
I am sure all the present cricket players of Australia ill line up and quee for physical fitness job...they often play bad, behave badly in sport ground and finally dig their own grace..
Captain MS Dhoni and team....we all are with you.....You have landed with World Cup...you will bring back...forr sure!!!

Glen should also recollect that Australia has lost one match in this contest whereas India has convincingly won all matches. Cricket lovers generally consider the present form and not the past.
