Indian victory

Glen should also recollect that Australia has lost one match in this contest whereas India has convincingly won all matches. Cricket lovers generally consider the present form and not the past.

aussie should expect tight contest
by Dhantannan on Mar 21, 2015 10:36 PM

if you see 1st game of tri series, it was close.
we lost rohit due to injury after that.
now team is balanced. india play to strength.
dont throw wicket, play positively without fear.
rahane,kohli pl. play positively.
bowlers pl. keep line and length without short.
dont drop catches, mis runouts or stumpings.

for australia it may be walk in the park
by ramakanth k on Mar 21, 2015 10:34 PM

since they are playing in their home country and all their batsmen and bowlers are in form it may be cake walk for them. but as an Indian I want India to win and lift the cup if India win the S/F and NZ wins in their semifinal then cup is india's.

This world cup we are not seeing any closely fought nerve breaking contest. As rules have been changed to make it a batsmen's game we are seeing mostly one sided contest which become a damp squib. All quarterfinals were boring after the first session. They cannot be called world cup QFs.

Maxwell is correct in his assessment of India in the WC semis.
by soumyen sarkar on Mar 21, 2015 08:08 PM  | Hide replies

I cannot deny what Glenn Maxwell told about India . It cannot be denied , India did not beat Aus in any fixture in any category of cricket this summer down-under. all the Indian batsmen got runs against them except Shikhar and Dhoni. It means, India could not marshal their strength as per the game plan. The powerful Aussie batting line up, did not allow big damage caused by Indian quickies. But, in the World Cup, we are seeing a different India with all the Indian quickies blasting and till the semi-final match they took all the 70 wickets available for taking. Australian bowlers did not show such consistency. There is also a monotonous sameness in Iaussie bowling and they have nothing in their repertoire to offer in the slower kind of bowling, where India have depth. Ashwin is doing pretty well. Suresh Raina can pitch in with few overs. India's biggest problem lie in Ravindra Jadeja, who is practically doing nothing. If he could rise ebven half of what was expected of him, the balance of the team would have been much more solid. Shikhar as usual erratic, and inconsistent and at times, quite menacing too. Rohit just found his touch against minnows Bangladesh. Virat Kohli, not in form but has big match temperament, Suresh Raina is an old tested war horse. Little worries about Rahane,as he is not getting proper roll and rhythm. Team management should clearly tell him what is expected. And Dhoni, mostly a non-playing captain, but as India is on a roll, it does not matter.

What a well written post, the content as well as the language is excellent. YOu should be writing for BBC sports or some other online portals. You are wasting your talent if you are not

Australians will prepare a Bouncy wicket at SCG
by RSS on Mar 21, 2015 07:27 PM  | Hide replies

Aussies know that their Pace Bowling is their inherent strength and Indian weakness is Playing Fast Bowling since a Long long time.

So they will make a Bouncy pitch for 26th at SCG and Bundle out India to a low score - Just like how they did to Pakistan, and chase it down with ease later.

If Australia Bat first, they have the depth to score above 350 - With David Warner, Aaron Finch, Glen Maxwell, Michael Clarke, George Bailey, Steven Smith, Shane Watson and others as well.

It is going to be Really Tough for India as Aussies will seek Revenge for the 2011 World Cup Loss to India and they will ensure that they win this Semi Final by a Big margin.

Also to be noted - I heard Michael Artherton saying that Australia have Never lost a Semi Final in any World cup, they have tied only 1 match vs South Africa !!

By the way, you are one low life maggot who deserves to die, irrespective of what happens in the match. Your definition of nationalism is based on two principles.....hatred of Mozlems and an irrational compensatory azz liicking of whites...by the way, whites don't even treat people like you as inferior creatures....they think of you as sub human tribals...so get a life first!!

Try to think properly - Indian team has their Task cut out.

But this time around Australia are playing at their home with home advantage.

So they will be even more pumped up - With Conditions, Pitches and Fans in their favour.

ICC decides on preparing the pitches for any ICC events, so it is not going to be that way as it will be a flat pitch where the ball will come on to the bat...it is going to be a run feast...just watch out India is going to march ahead of Australia into the finals. ATB Aussies
