If India thrashed SL instead of RSA today, it would have prompted the best analysed reason - BCCI/ betting made India win :) Lame people, Lame ducks! I wonder looking at the stats of India vs. Pakistan or India vs. WI - even though India has been dominant for the past 5 yrs or so, still overall, they (both Pak/WI) have more than 50% success rate on India. Listening Meesrs. Manjres, Lals, Gafas, Beds, tokkas or tolus..
Yeas group matches were barely any competitive for India and quarterfinal as well to be. If India wants to retain the title they have to win 2 tough matches, semifinal and final that would be against Australia and New Zealand respectively.
Seems to be a du**a*s...we had pakistan, south africa, and we won them both...even though Ravi Shashtri is overconfident, I guess the team is playing good cricket...yes we have few worries with Rohit and Jadeja, but it did not stop us winning the mighty SA in the group stage, run chases with Zimbabwe was good...it helps the team evaluate themselves as to where the stand...all in all six games won by India cannot be just said because of luck...it is always hardwork that pays...think before writing something

perfect Sri Das, Pointed to be noted. Mr. Uttam singh u r no more uttam in making such a comment. Can u tell me how indians are in comparatively week pool with west indies winning the world cup twice and Pakistan winning it once and also india winning twice (there are three teams who lifted world cup at least once compared to pool A where Australians have won 4 times and srilanka once in the ICC world cup 50 over format and also point to be noted are the world's top 2 batsmen ABD and Amla are playing in Pool B along with the Top bowlers like Dale Steyn and some world class pakistani pacers as against Sangakara and two best allrounders (shakib and Dilshan) from the other pool.
Also to note India is the only team who bowled out the opposition in the league stage and if you say we struggled against westindies and zimbabwe in the league stage, did australia not loose to NZ and had heart in their mouth against Srilanka and also Afgan almost scared NZ and Bangladesh almost won against NZ. So all other favourite teams also had their cup of hot tea in the league phase, so do not underrate the good going indian team however ravi shastri please make statements which are matured enough.

Sri Das: Thanx for highlighting that NZ, Aus and SL are worse than UAE, Ireland and WI. Keep it up.
yOU CAN BE confident but not overconfident as it may lead to complacency. See Virat. He is outstanding and No one player in Indian team. But he is placed at 24th position in MVI index. India so far is able to have a relatively easy passage as bowlers contributed and atleast one or two batsmen in each match contributed to the team's score. Now in the knockout stage each one has to be more careful to contribute their best especially Rohit Sharma and Jadeja
to australia or. to pakistan ! law of averages shall catch india in ind-pak semis. dhoni himself hinted winning streak against pak cannot last for ever. also it shall be first time ever that ind-pak meet twice in same WC.

dost...what he said cannot be refuted...we cannot keep on winning against pakistan world cup...there might come a day where we lose...so instead of dancing with pride...lets be humble and take the cup back home buddy

It will not come in this World cup for sure......the way India is playing.....it may happen in some future ICC event but in this one.....this time, Pakistan will have to stay content with losing semifinalists tag......but mind you, it will be a close semifinal......no way will India win it by 76 runs or a margin like that...it would be around 20 runs if we bat first or 3 wickets if we chase...it will be tense and close....
Being confident seems O.K.Mr.Ravi Shastri Sir, but please don't being over proudy rather boastful can be harmful. While India still has to qualify for Semis and meet bigger teams, we shouldn't be judgemental in the interest of Indian team and make tall claims as yet till we beat first Bangdesh then a bigger team like Aussies etc.whosever.Let's say we have the best chance to qualify for semis and finals. We do want to retain the cup but Courtesy and humility are the need of the hour please Mr.Shastri. Vikram,N.Delhi
the way our country spends time/money/resources on cricket, India should have dominated and won at least 3 to 4 world cups at a stretch which is not the case. Those claims are always there, not even the very best team can ever claim to guarantee a world cup win since there is always an element of fortune involved. The way country spends resources on cricket then why to cry when almost nil medals comes up in olympics
