WHY WAS RAJKUNDRA NOT ARTRESTED LIKE GURUNATH ?
by damodaran mohan on Jul 16, 2015 07:50 PM  | Hide replies

Good judgement. Punishment had become inevitable for acting as deterrent to clean up cricket in the background of BCCI style of functioning with conflict of interest galore at every level and charges of betting/fixing in IPL flying thick and fast. So BCCI instead of all the time thinking of ways to circumvent the punishment to keep IPL alive and make it 'bigger success' at all cost as Rajiv Shukla, IPL CH would want it, actually it is time for an IPL ‘PAUSE’ , for BCCI stock taking and course correction. Best thing will be at least one yr break so that new systems could be put in place for a fresh ‘clean’ start. What Lodha committee has done is to just award the punishment based on Mudgal committee report and then you have the police cases against Gurunath and RR cricketers to be concluded. Then you have that sealed ‘envelope’ with SC .Mudgal report also seeks further probes in case of Raj Kundra and his wife Shilpa Shetty having indulged in betting through their bookie friend Goenka.Considering that both Guraunath and Raj Kundra are liable for similar charges while Gurunath was arrested why wasn’t Raj Kundra arrested too ! He was let off thanks to generosity of Delhi police, Mr Rajiv Shukla ! What double standards ! In fact between Gurunath and Raj Kundra the culpability of the latter is graver considering that RR players are under trial for spot fixing charges while no CSK players have been charged! In the

(contd.)..In the end, I think once Lodha committee comes up with next part of recommendations for reforms in BCCI the entire outlook towards holding of IPL the way BCCI is mulling now could change. That by itself may force at least one yr pause.

Is it proper on the part of the Hon'ble SC to appoint a panel and declare that its verdict will be final and binding? How can the panel findings and sentence be considered the findings and sentence from court? Is it like SC giving power of attorney to some one to act on their behalf?
Besides, how can any one punish the teams for the wrong actions of a private person indulging in betting? How fair is it?

Dont tell me Meiyappan and Kundra were not related to CSK and RR. And it was a rule made by the teams during initial stages that SC has tried to bring into action.

what are you talking about? when did i ever say that meiyappan was not involved in betting?

i said dhoni and srinivasan are innocent and they are...just because of meiyappan, srinivasan was made scapegoat and csk team got hit...

neither the players nor dhoni nor srinivasan had anything to do with match/spot fixing or betting...when did i ever say that meiyappan did not indulge in betting?

in fact i have always said that because of meiyappan other innocents have suffered...

IPL Judgement
by vk sanjeev on Jul 14, 2015 03:51 PM  | Hide replies

A good judgement. But we should know that the players who involved in this also punished. Once the bet is over by the concerned persons the players, atleast, few of them should play as per their interest and instruction. Means either to give more wickets by slow bowling or loose runs by making mistakes deliberately etc. like giving information how a bower is going to bowl with signals. Withoug getting support from players it can not be done.
So the enquiry should be like that.
