Whites have more brainns than the brownies
by lee on Jan 31, 2015 03:22 PM

Had India been a white country, by now Dhoni would have been sacked since 2012 from all formats, this entire team would have been replaced and players like Virat would have become humble. But India is a brown country and so is their brains - unable to accept failures(always some boring excuses), sticking to ireleant policies of giving chances to players who are basically non-cricketers.

Team India:)

In WC India can win against Ireland,UAE and Zimb only. With this team there is no hope in Aus pitches. If there would be Gambhir,Sehwag,Yubi,Vajji and Manoj in team squad result may be better, at least not worst than this. But our team management and selectors are great.

Poor performance displayed by India cricket team in Australian tour is not excusable as it was a demo series before WC-15 show.So request to BCCI for enhance of new WC team by replacing current squad.

India's flop show
by srirama chandra rao on Jan 31, 2015 02:10 PM

It is not escapism and there is no fighting spirit. In the last ODI atleast opening partnership is good enough to consolidate but combinedly middle order surrendered with out any application and fight. It is deplorable

If at all you wanted to keep someone from TN in the team, please select Vijay instead of Ashwin ... or does CSK matter more?

supporter of Dhoni has to be kicked out. How can you accept the views of one cricketer who opened the innings for India against England in a world cup match and carried the bat for 60 overs remaining unbeaten on 36. Can anyone beat this record? Gavaskar and Dhoni are similar in thinking. Dhoni no doubt did well but only in flat Indian pitches. He is the biggest failure abroad. Sack him immediately

And u have never been selected to play for India.

So this criteria is not a right way to judge

Gavaskar speaks for India, no doubt about it

Sheikh at Dhawan should be selected only if there were no options for India. But we do have.
Robin utthappais much much improved batsman
Gautam gambir has been scoring
Kl Rahul is performing in domestic and also has a century in Australia series

Shekhar Dhawan should be replaced

Agreed. He is a puppet of BCCI. For money he will never speak against BCCI. If he will speak for Test it would be OK but for ODI, his speech should not be considered.

fully agree with Gavaskar.shameful performance by the team and some of the players like dhawan, raina, jadeja and ashwin are having a paid holiday in australia.absolutely no accountability.they should be sent back forthwith and replaced with Vijay,Manoj Tiwary, akhtar rasool and Kuldeep Yadav

dhoni casual attitude is also to be blamed for team india's dismal performance.. somewhere down the line i feel that the players dont have confidence in him (especially after he quit tests).. this world cup will be truly challenging for india and i doubt that this team may not reach even semis !

playing with 5 bowlers has been one of the important reasons in our losses....

sachin ganguly yuvraj bowled a lot of overs as the fifth bowler...but they were not successful right from the first match...they developed over time...similarly raina rohit and virat can bowl 10 overs....initially it is possible they might not be too successful....but soon they can bowl regularly....

everybody knows even specialist bowlers can go for a lot of runs...how many more runs will these 3 give than the specialist bowlers? say 20 or so...even a specialist bowler gives 50 runs in 10 overs...suppose these 3 (rohit raina kohli) give 70 runs in their 10 overs .....still that extra batsman will give you more than those 20 runs back....

I agree with your views . Ishant Sharma is the fifth bowler who goes for more than 70 runs in 10 overs regularly. Rohit, Raina and Virat can qualify as fourth bowler when compared to Ishant.

Correct but if with 6 batsman India can score 200 then with 7 batsman also can't score. In WC there should be experienced batsman like Gambhir,Yuvi, Sehwag etc.
