I done see any importance of including dhawan in the XI . I rather would have gone with murli and rohit as opening and kohli 3rd ,cheteshwar pujara 4th, raina 5th , dhoni 6th ,binny 7th ,jadeja 8th,shami 9th ,ishant 10th,Umesh yadav 11th,
3 pace bowler ,1 spin ,remainig 10 over by binny and raina. This would have been good selection and it would have given depth in batting .any team with upto 8th specialized batting can aim for more than 300 easily .

or may be exclude pujara and include rajiv bhatia. world cup is not about experiment or age its about proven track . with slower medium ,its very diff for batsmen to tackle bhatia .he can also bat
Horrible team selection would be the one of the prime reasons for INDIA's performance in coming world cup. Why was yuvraj left? Why wasnt irfan pathan considered? Even gambhir wasnt considered. All these 3 players were left hand batsman and Irfan was genuine all rounder options. The the above mentioned players were younger or same age as DHONI. !!!!

U missed out RP Singh, Agarkar, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Sehwag, Gambhir, Kaif, Ramesh Powar, Venugopala Rao
Since IPL has been started BCCI is only interested in making money out of matches that are played in liveless indian pitches , We won the cup in 2011 as it was played in INDIA , The next world cup i.e of year 2019 wud be played in ENG , BCCI did nothing for improving our bowling inspite of knowing that the world cups would be played on fast pitches. hOW CAN U SELECT SOMEONE LIKE umesh yadav in a world cup????
Well i hv been following cricket fro the last 25 years and i can safely say that Ind would perform very badly in this world cup , They wont reach qtr final .They wud loose their matches to SA, West indies and even PAK . AUS wont loose a single match and will win the CUP very easily
If one batsman is injured or unavailable for one match, only one extra batsman is there. Compulsorily you need to stick that names. It is not the case with bowlers. We have atleast options. If Dhawan has to be removed from the playing eleven, no other batsman excepting Rayudu in the absence of Rohit sharma
