The SC has merely pointed out the conflict of interest and asked him to step down from one post or the other. No punishment as such has been handed out. He could well stand for President again.
Cutting out all the hype, it is the earlier Presidents of BCCI also who saw nothing wrong in the conflict of interest.
Under Srinivasan and the BCCI , we must admit , the regional cricket bodies have received undreamt of funds, and various academies and coaching programs have flourished. The retired players have also got a bonanza in terms of pensions , which no other administrator bothered about. Current players and commentators and coaches are swimming in greenbacks. Who made all this happen ? You have to acknowledge the good points as well as the bad points of the man.

He said to the media "he will stand here whole day but not answer you".,if all goodness and prosperity has only been his contribution to IndianCricket he ought to be very confident about taking on any questions and must speak up.Will he be able to get benefits to BCCI with a stonewalling approach. While marketing is the key word,is it cricket at all is the unanswered question.
