It is not enough. The Supreme Court may make sure that the constitution of all sports bodies, including the IOA are re drafted to keep away the dirty politicos from sporting who have no business there. There should be a rule that only qualified senior and sincere persons with proven tract record are elected to the top posts. The Supreme Court must constitute an SIT to find out and recover the ill gotten wealth all these tainted people have amassed during the last 10 years, and get the unaccounted and that is not declared in the IT statement recovered and forfeited, and these people must be brought before law.
Let’s not shoot the messenger! The issue is whether a person indicted by Supreme Court and barred from heading the BCCI has any credibility to head the ICC? Technically, the Learned SC has not extended its jurisdiction to ICC and morality and ethics do NOT figure in Mr Srinivasan’s dictionary. So he will merrily continue as ICC head, thwart all attempts to remove him and use all the clout to retain control of the cash-cow, BCCI, through his cronies! For Edmund Bunden : “Cricket to us was more than play, It was a worship in the summer sun.” In India, especially, Cricket administration [after Muthiah] has been a different ball-game altogether ……. as murky as politics can be! Justice Mudgal, Varma and SC can do little to cleanse these Aegean’s stables!
from cricket.. as most of the betting activities originate from that country. BTW Srinivasan was given a clean chit he was asked not contest only because he has economic interests in IPL under BCCI ... So what is wrong in continuing with ICC...
