sachin vs sunny
by Ashoke Ghosh on May 25, 2016 05:58 PM

It is always an opinion for who is a greater player. There cant be any mathematics to prove the same. Statistic will definitely favour Sachin. One thing that could never be discounted is the authority and reliability Sunny had in his game. No one was and is there to day who could be compared with sunny. I have never seen a bats man who could be predicted for making a century in a match. We were so sure about Sunny that once he ever crossed 30 we used to say our selves " DRAW ONE MORE LINE" means once he is on 30 he shall score a century and believe me he used to do that invariably (though there could be very few occasion he failed) This kind of confidence and reliability that he could grow in our mind no one ever could. We could never say that Sachin or for that matter even Rahul will make century if even they were in 90s. Such was the greatness of Sunny. Young generation may not be knowing that fact and obviously Sachin has greater statistics and of course a great player indeed , but Sunny was different and distinct.

I am not a blind Saching fan, but i think IK might be sleeping when sachin thrashed Australia in Sharjah, Humiliated Pakistan in centurian and scored first ever 200 in ODI. In test stll remember his chennai innings against Pakistan and 169 against SA in Joburg. IK has always rated his own countryment above everyboday else.He rated Inzamam better then Sachin and now qadir above warne. He also rated himself above the all rounder quateret of Kapil, Botham, Haddliee and himself. Sachin don't need your certification.

I too am not a fan of IK, but the certification part also holds good for IK. He has already told that it is his opinion, dont know why Sachins bhakts are offended.

Imran Khan

is absolutely right. Most ideal opening batsmen ever- Gavaskar. Sachin played in the era, where wickets were generally batsmen friendly & also he came at no 4 position making it easy for him to bat. Worst is today's generation, they can only play T20

Sanchin got most wrong decision
by Murali Krishnan on Dec 14, 2015 06:06 AM  | Hide replies

Sanchin was given out at least 100 times (Test ODI) when he was not. If DRS was there Sachin would have crossed 20000 runs both in Test and ODI

Imran's Comments on Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar
by utpal chattopadhyay on Dec 13, 2015 01:35 PM

I have been following Indian cricket for about four decades and I have followed both the batting legends viz. Sunny and Sachin closely. They will be part of my All-time Great 11 from India and world cricket team. But, like Imran, I rate Gavaskar above Sachin simply because Gavaskar had to face much more stronger opponent (bowlers). Moreover, Gavaskar was almost a one-man army in the Indian batting line up barring some supports from GR Viswanath and some other greats of his time. In test cricket, Gavaskar is way ahead of Sachin though Sachin had scored many more runs than Gavaskar did.

Please understand Imran Khan is a pathan
by sridhar nanagiri on Dec 12, 2015 09:16 PM

Please understand Imran Khan is a pathan. Pathan are known for their hospitality and genrosity and revenge. Their mind is very limited. Most of the pathans are labours or businessman. Pathan cannot generalise or talk about pragmatism. Imran Khan considered Turkey Erdugan as his role model... erdogan? what he did to turkey with kurds and ISIS now... in Pakistan also he speaks nonsense like this.. if anyone watches his TV interview on youtube... although he is arvind kejriwal of pakistan.. sorry kejriwal copied him but imran is dumb.. not a PM material.. i was his fan earlier but he is far away from reality always

IMRAN'S VIEW ON GAVASKAR AND SACHIN
by Asok Kumar Ghosh on Dec 12, 2015 07:23 PM

Let us discuss with open mind. I had been watching Indian cricket since 1960 and as a players Nari Contractor, Nabab Patudi, As lover of cricket I have seen entire career of both Gavaskar and Tendulkar. They are no doubt great cricketers. While comparing Gavaskar with Sachin the first impression appeared in my mind that one of them scored against fast bowlers without helmet and other did with helmet and latest type of arm and body protection. More over Gavaskar stood as an opener. While comparing these facts shall be kept in our mind. Please note in entire career of Gavaskar no bowler could strike his head but Sachine could not avoid his head thrice in his career. Helmet protected him from his injury. I feel this enough to describe the quality of batsmanship. Total run is not always a hall mark of quality.

Who caes the comments of Imran
by thyagathur chandrashekar on Dec 12, 2015 02:01 PM

Who is Imran to comment on quality players of India.
Anyway,Wasim was the best bowler Pak produced. Sachin was more versatile compared to Gavaskar.
Imran is jealous of Sachin, since Sachin hammered Pak in his debut at very young age.
