Who is Imran to comment on quality players of India. Anyway,Wasim was the best bowler Pak produced. Sachin was more versatile compared to Gavaskar. Imran is jealous of Sachin, since Sachin hammered Pak in his debut at very young age.

I respect what Imran says but I would think a little different because in today's cricket a batsman's job is not only batting but think of the effort in the field with respect to quality, the onedays and t20s. It is so much more cricket, much more hard work and of course there is the money.

Sunny was a true great and that too batting with a cap to face those battery of fast bowling. He was amazing. But we had other batsmen too who faced these bowlers. Don't forget the Amarnaths and Vishwanaths or Sandeep Patil.
At present the batsmen are bandaged from top to bottom but at the same time the bowlers have the advantage of technology to know the exact weakness of a batsman.
I had the good fortune of seeing all the great players that Imran mentioned in his talk, including Imran himself. All have their respective strengths & weakness & also depends upon the era in which they played & the value in terms of asset they brought to their respective teams. In terms of value i must agree with Imran that Gavaskar in tests was always better than Sachin in tests . The nearest player who came close to Gavaskar in tests ( played for India ) is the Wall, Rahul Dravid , but still Rahul is a shade behind that great man. But salutations to Sunny, Sachin, Rahul , Kapil& many others like them for giving us some fantastic memories to think of , when we talk of the game of cricket with reference to the Indian context.

Under captaincy of ganguly, indian team improved, along with sachin, sehwag, ganguly, yuvraj used to play match winning knocks. in ODI no one competitor to sachin, in tests lara, dravid, gavaskar, border, ponting were competitors.
