Comments from Laxman and Sachin have value
by explorer on Nov 04, 2014 09:33 PM  | Hide replies

They are the people who never made any controversial comments. When they make comments about Chappel we should give some weight. I remember it was Vengsarkar who was bold enough to tell that there is a limit to experiment. Till that point no one dared to say about Chappel's way of working. It never clicked and it created enough confusion and damaged the career of some people like Irfan Pathan. We just believe foreigner especially from West are more intelligent and scare to say anything. There was something called Ladyluck which gave some brief success to Chappel and rest of it was all chaos. Asking a Senior like Laxman to Open and threatening to sit in bench just because he doesnt prefer opening is a joke. We all know Chappel brothers on how they sabotaged Kim hughes and made him retire. They dont have any content to gain respect.

He is great cricketer of all time no doubt about that. And the comments about selfish. I am tired to see these ridiculous statements. Why some one must not be selfish. Are you living for others? Is Latha singing for free? Amitabh acting for free? Cant we admire them for their talent? Why should we link this selfish tag? Are we all working for free?

Mr.Pak,A person who has not even graduated and earns money is not a role model. If he was a role model he would not be criticised so much during 2007 wc fail and people would not pelt stones at his house.Haters are simply exaggerating things here.He has a mad fan base who will blindly buy his book.He has a mad hater base who will not buy his book whatever happens.Sachins name in Indian cricket is so big that he does not need additional promotion.

Mr.Jogi, why are you generalizing by the behaviour of 20 or 25 people pelting stones or the crowd booing him. I don't support Sachin. But look at his determination. He was successful and signed a major endorsement contract when he was not even 18. But, he ensured his feet were grounded and focused only on cricket and achieved aplenty. I am sure you will be knowing some cricketers who lost focus after the initial success and are nowhere in the news now.

jogi, as an analogy, there's a popular function in math: n^2 - n Ɨ 41 , its supposed to generate prime numbers if you put in non-negative integers as n.. but guess what, a single exception, blows it apart. if you put n as any number from 0 to 40, it indeed conjures up primes, but as you put 41, the exception blows it away as 41s cancel out each other and you're left with n^2, product of primes i.e. a composite number ....in your case i get 4 exceptions, to your 'rule'..hehe.

Earned a million dollar contract at a young age, had a successful start to his career and still his feet were firm on the ground. Don't you think anybody can consider him a role model on these qualities? Forget the negatives. We are all advised many times to look at the positives and learn from it.

It is easier than said. VVS presented his thoughts to Chappel and Chapel's reaction was not right. As we know Chapel and his brother Ian are the guys who never honored the protocols even during their cricketing days. Kim Hughes gave up the captaincy due to their non cooperation. Now Greg has no right to talk about anything. He went to media instead of getting the things sorted out in dressing room and with the Board. He made controversial remarks and insecure feelings to everyone in the team. VVS is not a person who made complaints everyday like Harbhajan. It is a pity that he is being ridiculed.
