Tough contender of IPL 7
by Sujata Mishra on Mar 08, 2014 08:14 PM  | Hide replies

The tough contender of IPL 7 will be MUMBAI INDIANS as Rohit Sharma is their and the might Lasith Malinga is also their but don"t forgot the indian yorker star Zaheer is alo their. And the record breaker Cory Anderson of Kiwi is also their.I think it will be difficult for all the teams to beat them.
So, "COME ON MUMBAI
BEAT THE HEAT"

CAN GARY DELIVER FOR DD ?
by damodaran mohan on Feb 15, 2014 04:55 PM

(contd.)MI on the other hand as always have managed the best IPL side. Looks even better side this time around so much so it need not feel like underdogs playing CSK any more . MI also managed to buy Corey Anderson cheap thanks to his name not appearing in the first lot ! Successful manipulation ? Hyderabad have also put up a good side and can beat the best side on a given day. Anirudh Srikant who couldn’t get adequate opportunity with CSK is a very exciting bat and let’s hope he will get to prove himself. Punjab is another exciting side packed with series of overseas pinch hitters and our own Virendra Sehwag and Pujara! George bailey is easily one of the best when it comes to big hitting . Given his man management skills should be the ideal choice to lead the side !RR as always is packed with all-rounders but no big names and will remain the eternal underdogs playing teams like CSK,MI,RCB etc. But like CSK, fate of RR too is not clear yet! KKR is more or less the same side and should be able to compete as well as they did last time around.DD is is a better looking brand new side with KP minus encumbrances being the only old prominent name and could be key to DD’s success! The way DD has splurged on Dinesh Kartik possibly he is going to lead the side and could be Gary’s choice. Question is can Gary deliver for DD the way he did for team India ?

OWNERSHIP CHANGE OF CSK IN THE OFFING ?
by damodaran mohan on Feb 15, 2014 04:45 PM

Best part of the auction this time around was the young Indian uncapped players getting good money. IPL governing council is to be congratulated for bringing in this all important change of transparency in payments. It was heartening to see talented youngsters like Kedar Jadav, Rishi Dhawan etc. who have done well in Ranji Trophy earn well. Now coming to individual teams, Vijaya Mallaya has the audacity to pay Rs 14 crs to one cricketer even while defaulting on salary payment to his KFA employees ! And then splurges Rs 60 crs but no one in this country has any guts to question this man! Anyway he has put up a good side and may be this time around they would cross the last hurdle to win the trophy. One good thing about Vijaya M’s shopping list is he has bought lot of youngsters , that is going to be lot of encouragement for young cricketers.CSK as always is a strong side but the shopping list certainly raise eyebrows---exit Murali Vijay,Mike Hussey and enter Brendon MCcllum etc.; really surprising ! Is CSK ownership change in the offing to obviate its scrapping from IPL ?
