Why? Hadn't they made Rajiv, the first ace murderer, as it's recipient too? Were you drugged or talli that time?
Is Rediff aware that another person who truly deserved,done a great service to the entire country,took indians to the skies,whom th world (not somme 10 cricketing countries) has rcognised by name SHRI CNR.RAO has also got Bharat Ratna and his acheivements is anyday above sachin's!!At least as a token of respect should rediff not report him???SAD
he is in congress so congress gave him bharat ratna. president -congress prime minister -congress sachin- congress no body from outside can influence so congress ratna got bharat ratna.simple.
Giving the Bharat Ratna is "UNFORTUNATE" Indian Political leader should think of it before announcing.If at all giving to sports man there is a peoples Dhyan Chand, Kapil Dev,Gavaskar etc........

indians are good at indivisual but fail in team, as collective one nation and team.... team player who can lead and inspire...
Sachin Tendulkar has been a great sportsman and made India proud on numerous occasions..
But, Bharat Ratna carries immense value and prestige and only towering personalities who worked for the welfare of the society at large are bestowed with the award..
Sadly, the decorum of the award has NOT been maintained..

yes, kapil dev shud have got this award much earlier for the world cup win.. sadly politics is played here too!
