after abysmal performance all these years he is finally FIRED from the team, this may be unsettling in short term would be very good in medium to long term. Dhoni should have been fired from tests at least 2 years ago.

His performance was not abysmal... statistics speaks for him for his 90 test mactches. He was a great Captain in Test as well.

Had lot of conspiracy in his retirement. He having individual record even though overseas team record in test is worst. this is not first time happening for the last 5/6 decades.

reitrement of Dhoni

A good decision came little late. Dhoni is not at all a test player. He is fit to lead ODI and 20-20.

Good riddance !
by vijay rajan on Dec 30, 2014 02:53 PM

Good riddance I'd say. Enough of waiting for things to happen & enough of providing catching practice to the slip cordon. No doubt he "was" a great captain but it's good that he had chosen to pass on the baton to the young brigade ! Thank you MSD for the glorious past & the exciting future ahead !

Dhoni's decision to retire
by srirama chandra rao on Dec 30, 2014 02:53 PM

Right decision by Dhoni. Already people are criticizing him. He did wonderful job for India for a decade as keeper and captain at a later stage. He should bring world cup this time also so that he can retire from onedayers also after that
