Let us not nitpick.......Dhoni's record abroad is quite bad!!
Rohit sharma performance out side subcontinent was too poor.Better try Rahane as 6th batsmen.Virat was not consistence.If atlest two player was consistence both in Bowling and batting then only our sorrow will go off while playing outside subcontinent.We can try Dinesh Karthik aiso so that we can get one Batsmen who will be more better player than Dhoni in test which was played outside subcontinent.
Dhoni's favorism and since he is boss of CSK,India cement in turn BCCI makes him unanswerable.He slowly removed all senior players , outsted many players without giving second chance. Even small kid can tell wether Aswin is great or bhajji is great. Bhajji given many win abroad,but can dhoni tell any singlw in abroad due to Aswin. Is CSK playing is only criteria ? India survived 2000-2011 due to senior players ONLY. Just remember mighty aussi team of 2003 and india levelled seris that time..Now BCCI need to take test captianship from dhoni and let captian ODI , T20,Masala T20..And recruit talented from Ranji,real performer.Send them County,australia for experince..Under Dhoni its not possible as he knows very well (he said in media too) that ppl talk few days and forget after one win.He is so careless abt original test cricket..ODI and Test are very different.Power hitters can survice in ODI but only talent will survice in test.

Alex you hit the nail on the head. Yes club over country is the rule. When your best bowler in Ranji Vinay Kumar , when your best wicketkeeper batsmen Robin Utappa & your best all arounder Stewart Binny keep winning and yet are ignored. Seniors like Viru, Gambir & Bhajji have no hopes. Top Players of otehr Top ranji teams have no hopes of making it to the Test 11. Only Jadeja and other CSK players are considered .Dhoni should be made the permanent manager/coach of the Team as he has the right excuses for losing Tests and his excuses are taken as right and supported by Gavaskar, Shastri, Manjrekar, Srikanth and others who matter. Sack the entire BCCI and have a new Team altogether . Let those like Bedi, Kapil Dev,Mohinder Amarnath and other outspoken retired cricket be given important positions. No one is indispensably .

The only player from CSK is Ashwin. Completely dont understand where is CSK players dominating the Indian squad. Pls stop such political tantrums, so that Indian Cricket can look forward to growth. It is you guys spoiling the environment with mis-led and un-true information Note that Ashwin was dropped by Dhoni in the the two previous overseas series and was brought back only after Cricket enthusiasts vouched for him. Even in this series, Dhoni is the series Captain. He had say in picking up the first test. But, Ashwin was dropped.

Alex, welcome to earth, hope your stay in the alien planet was enjoyable. I cannot recall a single match abroad won by Bhajji. And other than Dhoni and Ashwin, there are no other CSK players. I think you should stick to the point. Dhoni's test captaincy is not upto the mark. That's all. Don't drag CSK into this, completely irrelevant..

@desi, if u dont recall single match then its ur issue or fault. Just google SA ,NZ tour even aussi tour.When bhajji was only spinner, he was only weapon india had..Do you bileive Aswin can take 2 wkt in a whole match ?...forget frontline batsman, even Johnson hitting him left right....answer honestly ..india has great legacy of spin in 30-40yr, after kumble , who is good spinning oprion available in India in TEST? ..aswin or bhajji. U can watch their bowling and know that aswin hardly spin. In India, any spinner can take wickets. Abroad is main concern
PROBABLY THE WORST TEST CAPTAIN HISTORY HAS HAS SEEN. HE IS REALLY A GOOD ONE DAY CAPTAIN AND BATSMEN(NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT). BUT HIS TEST BATTING AVERAGE OUTSIDE INDIA IS JUST 15 RUNS PER TEST. HIS TEST RECORD IS 13 LOST MAKE IT 15 LOST AFTER JAN 15, AS INDIA IS NOT GOING TO WIN THE REMAINING TWO TESTS AGAINST AUSTRALIA AS WELL.

He is the one who brought ICC Test Championships. Man.. for Kohli, Sharma, Rahane, Pujara not playing, but backed up by the respective selectors and influencers, what Dhoni can do??? Kohli played well in only one test in his last ten..No one talks about him

hahaha...so finally you agree after all what i was saying!!! that the stats above are given to make it appear as if he has won 6 tests against sa eng and aus...
in reality ganguly has won only 2 tests against sa eng and aus! the same as dhoni! who also has won 2 tests one against eng and 1 against sa...
besides the above the 10 losses of ganguly are 2 tests losses against nz 2 tests losses against sl 2 test losses against wi 1 test loss against zim and the reat 3 against eng sa and aus....
and dhoni has 5 overseas tests wins! 1 against eng 1 against sa 1 against sl 1 against w1 1 against nz
