Lets change the battle field. - the Press meet

Challenge the Aussies or any other team in the world to beat Dhonny in a press conference. Surely they cannot even try one bit!

Captain holds the key
by Mike Teflon on Dec 22, 2014 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

A captain is one who has been made so, becoz of his experience and knowledge of the game apart from man management and tactical skills.

Dhoni, inspite of his repeated failures and defensive gameplay is rewarded with prolonged captaincy despite his lacklustre contribution..

A captain should control the game at all times and if he could steal the credit for team effort, then he should accept the responsibility for the team's debacles..

He is blocking an aggressive kid like Virat for his selfish gains and to ensure his place in the team, though his abroad batting record is dismal, not to speak of his forgettable wkt keeping skills..

BCCI is so corrupt and opportunistic, Indian cricket fans continue to absorb embarrassment despite patronizing the game without any qualms..

With Dhoni at helm, we can't dream of any abroad test victory, let alone a series victory..

by Pranav Mishra on Dec 22, 2014 10:50 AM

need to be probed in all seriousness. It was just a matter of half an hour and in came Dhawan driving the ball and also stepping out and lofting the ball over the mid off and mid on fielders without any discomfort.

Withdraw Extremely Talented but Useless Players
by on Dec 22, 2014 09:11 AM

THESE EXTREMELY TALENTED BUT USELESS players must perform first and then complain, someone will be there to hear.... else...its better to withdraw as humiliation due to losses the country is facing can be reduced...

time to Dhoni out
by jaimon md on Dec 22, 2014 06:35 AM

I feel ashamed India still keeping Dhoni as captian. How many test has lost.We are going to loose another 2 also.the results will be 4-0.What contribution he made as captian for test cricket.at least can he could spent one hour for batting each innings then it make difference but he is not doing that.Young boys are doing well. But they neeed support also.Dont blame indain bowlers they doing better than any time.Always india lost due to batting collapse.people should bat like test cricket not 20-20.other watch how Aussies tails bated.Come on india think wisely.dont go back to old players bring new generation and also sack any one wont performe then only india team will win.If india continues same approach we are going to loose.its painful to watch as indian fans....

2011 series was a real catastrophe due to old and non performing players..! The top scorer in the series was Kohli with 1 century and 1 half century. SRT came second with 2 half centuries. If I am not mistaken, Ashwin was the 3rd or 4th highest beating even Laxman and Dhoni..!! Now, we have Vijay, Kohli, Rahane who are doing quite well because of which the scorecard crosses 300 frequently (big ask, if you see 2011 whitewashed tours).. Dhawan, to me is still a grey patch overseas. If the opening is good (like Viru/Gambhir were doing initially), the chances of winning are higher.

It is not about individual players; it is about team ethos
by on Dec 22, 2014 02:51 AM

The team ethos are influenced by the management. If the Managers are arrogant and undemocratic the team can not be united in its pursuit.
The BCCI management does not understand that the cricketing fans want to see a moral institution which it( BCCI) must identify with. You can not have a President of BCCI who owns an IPL team and a captain who is hand in gloves with the President.
You can not have a non DRS umpiring only for India when the fans globally(and in India) want it.
You can not have few cricketers running the show from just one state and enriching themselves by manipulating various levers of power.
Bring in a transparent democracy in Cricket by highlighting the inspirations of paying Cricket fans rather than by suppressing their inspirations by few big names.
