Most of us have a job and we will live with our family - wife, kids, parents, etc. So, why the exception for cricketers & sportsman to have their near & dear on a tour?

We work for 30 or more years in life while cricketers work for not more than 15 years. We never get paid like cricketers ever. so don't compare us with cricketers.

WTF do you mean? What is the correlation ? Not matter what job we do, or how long we do it, the issue is about what will help us perform to our best. Wifes and girlfriends are part of a players support system. They help with the emotional stability of the players.

Do you make 20 - 30 crore rupees per year. Would you sacrifice travelling say 3 months and year and spend 9 months with your wife if you could make 20 - 30 crores per year or more. And by sacrificing staying in plush 5 star hotels and working about 1.5 months. All they have to do is to focus hitting a ball with a bat - it's not rocket science but it needs focus and stamina. Don't for a second compare your life with these guys. The make more in a day than you make in an year - many times more. Yuvraj singh made 14 crores in 3 weeks in IPL, You can work all your life but you won't make that kind of money.

Indian team failed due to Anuksha_Sharma,are you crazy???
by Om Shanti on Aug 21, 2014 05:50 PM  | Hide replies

It is nonsense_excuse from_BCCI to cover up failure of the team.
Why every one after Anuksha_Sharma?How_shameful?Now Anuksha_Sharma responsible for thrashing India got in the hand of England?

Why did Pujara_Jadeja_Gambhir_Binny_Varun_and most others did not perform even without wives?

I always saw Kallis_Warne_and other greats travel with their girl_friends.

WRONG - Pujara and Binny did bring their wives and maybe Gambhir. But to be a wannabe sachin tendulkar and to have an average of 13.4.. SHAMEFUL.

Ban cricket
by Ironman on Aug 21, 2014 05:32 PM

The Indian govt should ban Cricket as a whole. Its not a game our children should play while growing up. This game doesnt test their own physical abilities and limits. If Indians started realizing their physical abilities to the tune of what world class athletes and adventurers have , we will be truly respected.

This is the 21st century. If GFs and wives aren't allowed don't you think they can explore other avenues?

Wives and girl friends not be allowed ....
by ASHKO KUMAR on Aug 21, 2014 04:19 PM  | Hide replies

Today cricket has become a highly paid professional game and must be treated ar par with other professions. Before coming to any conclusion let us ask one simple question--If you work for a company and have to go out on official tour-will your company allow your girl friend or wife or children accompany you--that too on company expenses...Answer will be a big NO..so why these players are given such special treatment, are they above rules and law????Or just one or two success have made them high headed...BCCI must (hereafter) not allow any player for commercial endorsements or advertizements during their contractual period...Flow of excess of money is also the cause of distraction from the real objective and goal...

by Kee Ba on Aug 21, 2014 04:16 PM

Boss, If the boys are really focussed on their game, they could have actually performed better. The recently concluded soccer cup also had a few WAGs there. But people played did they not?

SHE HAS MADE MORE HEADLINES THAN VIRAT WITH BAT
by damodaran mohan on Aug 21, 2014 04:11 PM

...donno....but she has made more headlines than Virat with his bat.....just compare with Sachin ..hardly anything was known about his pvt. life. in early part of his career when he was ruling the cricketing world.Only towards the end of his career world knew about his family members etc....Virat better learns fast..
